For students who plan to go skiing or snowboarding frequently this year, season passes often offer a better deal because most ski resorts throughout Utah offer discounts to college students on season passes.
For students who think the northern ski resorts are too far away, Brian Head Resort also offers good deals.
With a “two-for-one” deal, two season passes cost only $598 and are valid during the entire season, including holidays and weekends. Each person pays only $299 for the entire season. Season passes are regularly $599 each.
If that is still too much for a college student’s wallet, full-day lift tickets are $38. Or if a person wants to go for five or more days it is only $33 per day. Holiday lift tickets are $42 or $36 for five or more days.
Holiday prices are effective Nov. 29 through Dec. 1, Dec. 21 through Jan. 5, Jan. 18-20 and Feb. 15-17.
Alta Ski Area sells season passes cost $895 for the adults but only $399 for full-time enrolled college students. Students must have a minimum of 12 credit hours. Student I.D. and a class schedule are required when purchasing the tickets.
Full-day lift tickets at Alta cost $40 each, and the mountain is for skiers only.
An all-day lift ticket at the Park City Mountain Resort is $37 and a season pass is regularly $1,450. College season passes are $465.
For students planning a vacation, lift tickets for three to six days range in price from $189 to $330.
