Ceramics Studio
The Ceramics studio consists of a large throwing area, handbuilding tables and a wide variety of equipment for all kids of clay work, including ceramic sculpture: exstruders, slab rollers and a ball mill, to name a few. We have four electric kilns, three indoor gas kilns , one of which is a fast-fire test kiln, two outdoor salt kins, a soda kiln and a raku area. Students are initially encouraged to explore various techniques, arriving at a body of work in the senior year that reflects a synthesis of their own personal research.
