Adjunct Instructor: LuAnne Brown

LuAnne Brown is a long time resident of Cedar City where she attended public school and attended Southern Utah State College. She began her violin studies with Roy Halversen, and has also studied with Melissa Thorley-Lewis of the Utah Symphony, Jack Ashton of the Utah Symphony, Yumi Ninomiya-Scott of the Philadelphia Philharmonic and the Mainline Symphony and Kory Katseanse of the Utah Symphony and member of Brigham Young University Music Faculty. Currently she is the Concertmaster of Orchestra of Southen Utah and is a member of the orchestra board as well. She has played with the Cedar City String Quartet for the past twenty-five years. In addition to teaching violin lessons privately, she has worked as a substitute orchestra teacher in the Iron County School District for the past twenty-five years. She served on the Snow College Board of Trustees from 1995 until 2003. Currently she is playing for the Utah Shakespearean Festival in the pit orchestra for the 2005 prodution of Camelot. She has also played in productions of My Fair Lady and Spitfire Grill. Most recently she has been invited to play in the Halversen String Quartet.
