Honor Band Festival
February 22 & 23, 2013
We invite all high school band students and directors to participate in this years exciting High School Honor Band Festival, held on the beautiful campus of Southern Utah University. Students will be selected by audition to rehearse and perform outstanding wind band literature under the direction of Dr. Adam Lambert, our new Director of Bands at Southern Utah University, and Dr. Tom Herb, Director of Music Education and Jazz. The festival also includes workshops for directors by world-class musicians, including percussion instruction by Grammy nominated faculty member Lynn Vartan.
Materials on the audition page include a complete score for use during a full band rehearsal to facilitate a collective effort in your preparation. Separate parts are available for each instrument and, in some cases, a lower register option is provided.
