The SUU Music Department offers our campus and community an amazingly diverse season of music spanning the globe and centuries. Over 40 different concerts and recitals have been scheduled. You can enjoy a concert just about every week from September to April and many are free. Please join us for what promises to be a memorable season of music from SUU.

Single tickets for the Masterworks Series are $8 for Adults, $6 for SUU Faculty and Staff, $4 for Students/Children, family and group discounts are available. Purchase a Masterworks Series subscription and save 20% on all six great concerts!

Remington "Western Soundscapes" Faculty Recital
Monday, October 15, 7:30 p.m., Thorley Recital Hall.
Our distinguished Music faculty will perform a world-premier composition by Dr. Keith Bradshaw and pieces inspired by the American West.
Halloween Concert
October 30, 7:30 p.m., Sharwan Smith Center Ballroom
This yearly tradition features the SUU Orchestra and SUU Wind Symphony (and maybe even some ghosts and goblins) performing Halloween-inspired favorites for the whole family.
Crazy for George (A Gershwin Portrait) Opera Workshop
November 9-10 and 16-17 , 7:30 p.m., Thorley Recital Hall
SUU Opera Worshop students will pay tribute to this great American songwriter of such tunes as Someone to Watch Over Me, Fascinating Rythym, and Embraceable You.
Christmas Choral Concert
December 2, 7:30 p.m., Thorley Recital Hall
The SUU Concert Choir and OPUS Chamber Ensemble will welcome in the Christmas season with An American Family Christmas, featuring much-loved holiday classics.
Spring Choral Concert
March 10, 7:30 p.m., Heritage Center
This Magical Musical Mystery Tour follows the SUU Concert Choir and OPUS Chamber Ensemble as they perform magical choral works through the ages.
Too Many Sopranos, Opera Workshop
April 3-5, 7:30 p.m., Thorley Recital Hall
This comic opera, presented in English, tells the story of four sopranos who must bravely undertake a secret jmision through hell to earn their way into heaven's chorus.
SUU Orchestra Concert
April 15, 7:30 p.m., Sharwan Smith Center Ballroom
The SUU Orchestra Sprint Concert will feature guest pianist Dr. Kirill Gliadkovsky, and a special performance of Brahms' masterpiece, the First Symphony.
SUU Wind Symphony Concert
April 21, 7:30 p.m., Heritage Center
This eveining of music will feature the SU Wind Symphony performing Symphonie Funebre et Triomphale by Hector Belioz, and other classic works.

Please join us for eight great evenings of music that will delight your varied music tastes and that will enhance your appreciation of our talented students and faculty. Our Choral, Woodwinds, Jazz and Percussion Ensembles are among the best you will find on any university campus.
Admission is FREE for all Ensemble Series concerts.
A series of intimate concerts featuring faculty and students of our many small ensembles as well as the students in the voice studios. All concerts are in Thorley Recital Hall. Admission is FREE for all SUU Recital Series events.
