Jennifer Rasmusson, Visual Artist Representative, Presents at Art Insights

(Southern Utah University, Cedar City, Utah) The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Jennifer Rasmusson in this week’s Art Insights, Thursday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson P.E. Building, Room 101. Rasmusson will present on her work, and the strategies and challenges of a career as a visual artist.
Rasmusson was born in Provo, Utah. She attended the Lyme Academy of Fine Art in Connecticut and the Dundas Valley School of art in Canada. She paints with a shift between realistic and abstract gestural elements composted with a strong element of collage. Her work has been exhibited in the Springville Museum of Art and Renewal of Spirit in Jackson, Wyoming, among others.
Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. In Art Insightsstudents and community members meet weekly to attend gallery openings and experience presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights.
Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
