Todd Petersen Presents at Art Insights

For Immediate Release: January 29, 2008

(Southern Utah University, Cedar City, Utah)  The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Todd Petersen in this week’s Art Insights, Thursday, January 31th at 7:00 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson P.E. Building, Room 101.  Petersen will present on his work and how collaboration plays into the arts.

Todd Robert Petersen is Assistant Professor of English at Southern Utah University.  One of his current projects is Bullhorn, a new collaborative on-line magazine he’s starting on campus.  Petersen has an undergraduate degree in film from the University of Oregon, an M.A. English from Northern Arizona University and a Ph.D. Creative Writing from Oklahoma State. His work has appeared in Hobart, Cream City Review, Wisconsin Review, Third Coast, Mid-American Review, and Weber Studies. His collection of short stories, Long After Dark, recently won an Arty Award from Salt Lake City Weekly.

Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty.  In Art Insightsstudents and community members meet weekly to attend gallery openings and experience presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights.

Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
