Joe Shoopack, Computer Gaming Representative, Presents in Art Insights

(Southern Utah University, Cedar City, Utah) The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Joe Shoopack in this week’s Art Insights, Thursday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson P.E. Building, Room 101. Shoopack will talk about virtual worlds and the challenges of creating the quality and quantity of art content required for these large scale games.
Joe Shoopack is Director of Artistic Development for Sony Online Entertainment He has worked on Everquest II and its expansion content, and Star Wars Galaxies and its expansion content. He holds a BFA in illustration from Brigham Young University.
Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. In Art Insights students and community members meet weekly to attend gallery openings and experience presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights.
Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
