Announcement to the Southern Utah University Nursing Community We are pleased to announce that the Southern Utah University Department of Nursing will host an accreditation review by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) November 10 through November 12, 2010. As a part of the process, signed comments from constituents (alumni, employers, faculty, students, or other interested parties) are welcome and may be forwarded to CCNE until thirty days prior to the visit or October 7, 2010. Admissions Update --- Competitive AdmissionsThe Nursing Department admits 20 pre-licensure students fall and spring semesters. This is a competitive admission based on: Cumulative GPA, Required Support Course GPA, Work/School History, Essay, and References. LPN's will apply with the Pre-licensure students and will be evaluated on the same criteria. Application deadline for Spring 2011 is 12:00 p.m. September 10, 2010. Applicants will be notified by mail of the Admissions and Advancement Committee's decision. All decisions by the committee are final and may not be appealed.
