*Science Majors:

Students planning on graduating in December 2009 need to contact their advisor and set an appointment to complete graduation papers.  Papers are due to the registrar's office by February 13, 2009.

Clinical Documentation

ALL clinical documentation for Fall Semester 2009 (this includes any documentation expiring August 24 - December 4, 2009) must be updated and turned into the office manager by Noon, August 10, 2009.

Please note:  PN assessment exam for SUU nursing students (must complete level 2 successfully) will only be offered twice a year; once in May and again in December.   Next exam will be on December 14, 2009, 9:00 a.m. - Noon, SC023.  Fee for exam is $33 or $56 for exam and practice exam.  Students must pay and pre-register through the nursing office no later than Noon on November 20, 2009, (fees are non-refundable).  Contact the Nursing Office for additional information.

Fall 2009

Level 1 Fall 2009

Register for the following NURS courses:  3120, 3130, 3140 and one of the 3135 sections.  You must be flexible – there will be class or clinical experiences everyday; Monday through Friday, in this first semester. 

First week of school (8/24/09-8/28/09) schedule: 

Opening Celebration/Meeting (Mandatory):  Monday (8/24/09) 0830-1000, Sharwan Smith Student Center, 208S (Starlight Room)

Classes Monday (following the Opening Celebration) and Tuesday 0900-1450, GC-004.  Pictures for nursing badges Tuesday (8/25/09) at 1500, PE-118. 

Orientation and safety module to ATTL clinical lab (GC-008) Wednesday (8/26/09)

Section 1:  1200-1500; Section 2:  1500-1800

Clinicals/Labs are on Wednesdays & Thursdays or Wednesdays & Fridays

  • Dove Professional Apparel  (Deadline to order uniforms 7/13/09)
  • CPR classes will be offered during the first week of school.  E-mail (hatfieldb@suu.edu) Betsy Hatfield if you want to sign up for a class.  Please note in your e-mail if the CPR you need is new or a recertification.
Level 2 Fall 2009

Register for the following NURS courses:  3220, 3230, 3240, 4360-01, and one of the 3235 sections. 

First week of school (8/24/09-8/28/09) schedule: 

Opening Celebration/Meeting (Mandatory), Monday (8/24/09) 0830-1000, Sharwan Smith Student Center, 208S (Starlight Room)

Monday 10:30-12:30 (SC023) orientation to NURS 3235 clinical lab & 1330-1700 Medication Validation (GC-008)

Tuesday (8/25/09) Computer training at DRMC, 0800 – 1200 (1424 E. Foremaster Drive, across the street from the new hospital in the computer room) & Lab GC-008 1400-1700.

Classes Wednesday 1200-1550, Thursday 0900-1550, and Fridays 1000-1150.  Clinicals are on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Friday (8/28/09) 0900-1700 Lab/Validation, GC-008 & GC-006.

 

Level 3 Fall 2009

Hurst Review (Live NCLEX Review): 12/1/09-12/4/09, 9am - 5pm, R. Haze Hunter Conference Center, Whiting Room (211 WR).  All level 3 students will need to register at:  http://www.hurstreview.com, no later than November 13, 2009.   Students will receive registration information/codes on 8/24/09.

Register for the following NURS courses:  4330, 4340-01, 4350, 3260, one of the 4335 sections and one of the 4355 sections.

First week of school (8/24/09-8/28/09) schedule:

Opening Celebration/Meeting (Mandatory), Monday (8/24/09) 0830-1000, Sharwan Smith Student Center, 208S (Starlight Room)

Monday at 1030 meet in GC-003 for orientation to NURS 4335 (Family Clinical Lab) & skills practice module on fetal monitoring (GC-006), bring textbook/workbook.  Tuesday ATTL validation GC-006 (sign up sheet will be available on Monday 8/24/09). 

Classes Wednesday 1200-1650 and Thursday 0900-1450.  Clinicals are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and (Saturdays & Sundays?).

 

Level 4 Spring 2009

Hurst Review (Live NCLEX Review): 12/1/09-12/4/09, 0900 - 1700, R. Haze Hunter Conference Center, Whiting Room (211 WR).  All level 4 students will need to register at:  http://www.hurstreview.com, no later than November 13, 2009.   Students must sign in using their user name and password previously created DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR IT.

Register for the following NURS courses:  4430, 4440, 4550, one of the 4435 sections and one of the 4555 sections.

First week of school (8/24/09-8/28/09) schedule:

Opening Celebration/Meeting (Mandatory), Monday (8/24/09) 0830-1000, Sharwan Smith Student Center, 208S (Starlight Room)

Clinical orientation Monday, 8/24/09, 1030-1430, Sharwan Smith Student Center, 141CB (Cedar Breaks). 

Classes Thursday 0900-1250 and Friday 0900-1550.  Clinicals 24/7 as scheduled individually, starting 9/5/09.

 

RN to BSN Fall 2009

Register for the following NURS courses:  4340-02, 4360-02, 4351 and one of the 4356 sections.  Classes start on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 0800 in GC-003.
