Downloading in Groups:
Return to the SGID QD024 FTP directory by choosing the back button on your browser and copy the URL address. Or Copy the following URL address by highlighting it, then right click and choose copy. ( ftp://ftp.agrc.state.ut.us/sgid/qd024/ ).
Open Windows Explorer by right clicking the Start menu and choose ‘Explorer’ and paste the address in the Windows Explorer Address bar. You might need to hit enter.

Create a directory in your agrc_data workspace called quads. Make sure the directory tree is expanded so that you can see the new quads directory. Scroll down to the QD024 ftp folder in windows explorer.
To download files in groups (by quad) and include all the interchange files in each quadrangle folder you need to hold down the control (Ctrl) key while you select each folder (see above for the grid names). Then drag the selected folders into the new quads directory. The file transfer could take several minutes to complete. You might need to scroll left or right to get all the folders selected.

NOTE: If you are not comfortable with the drag and drop option, as an alternative method you could right click, after all the folders are selected and choose ‘Copy to folder’, after which you would need to navigate to the ‘quads’ directory. This alternative method would also work from your web browser instead of using windows explorer. |
