Basic EMT Instructor: Vickie Allred
Basic Course fee of $425, Begins Tues August 26 5-9 pm T/W/TH General Classroom -GC 107 Additional $90 for 6 credits: SCI 2300-33
Additional Course Fees: *State of Utah Testing Fees $145 for anyone who has lived in UT for 5 years, $180 for anyone who has lived outside of UT anytime
in the last 5 years. *CPR Health Care provider is a prerequisite to the class but if you do not have CPR, a class will be held the 2nd night of class for a fee of $35. *Proof of a TB test within the last year or you may get one by the 2nd week of class. This is a basic training program for treating the sick and injured in
the prehospital setting. This course meets: state certification to work as an EMT in the State of Utah; can also be used for reciprocity in other states; recommended for police, fire, pre-med and nursing students; 120 hours of lecture and hands-on practice with an additional 10 clinical hours either riding with Iron County Ambulance and/or spending time in a hospital setting. Final written & practical exams necessary for recommendation to take the state test. If you register at Continuing & Professional Studies you will receive a course schedule. And Iron County Ambulance high school scholarship students must register at Continuing & Professional Studies, Hunter Conference Center on campus, #103. Kenpo Karate Instructor: Cameron Parry

Learn balance and coordination while building confidence and physical stamina. Basic and advanced Kenpo self-defense techniques will be studied and practiced. Ages: 13 up to 80. Starts Tuesday August 26th.
International Folk Dance
Enjoy circle, line, trio, partner and group dances from Greece, Serbia,
Japan, Israel, Turkey, Europe, etc. No partner or experience is necessary.
Will mix fast, energetic dances with the slow social dances so teenagers
and up can participate. Many of these dances originated in rural areas
to celebrate planting crops, harvests, weddings, carnivals, and other
fun events. Festivals all over the world often feature these dances
in their entertainment. Ages 8 and up.
Wing Chun Kung Fu Instructor: David Pangan
1st week meeting, September 3rd, of your non-credit class is without the dogs, in Sage Valley (SV) #101, Hunter Conference Center.
Minimum class size #6 & no more than #15.
Class 1: $100/person for 8 weeks, begins Sept 3rd, Wednesday at 5 pm Sage Valley/Centurium—Obedience - 5 months & older - a traditional obedience class teaching all the basic commands, walk on a loose leash, heel, come, sit, down, stand, stay, wait, leave it.
Class 2: $100/person for 8 weeks, begins Sept 3rd Wednesday 6 pm Sage Valley/Centurium—Puppy - 3-5 months – puppy socialization, teaching basic commands, come, sit, down, wait, leave it, walk on a loose leash & help with potty training, chewing, crate training, puppy care, handling for grooming & teeth brushing. A positive approach to training your puppy. Now is the time to teach your puppy good behaviors to prevent bad ones in the future.
