The goal is to educate each other, provide opportunities and highlight
resources that are available in our communities to improve the quality
of life for the youngest of citizens. Workshop sessions feature math/innumeracy,
early literacy, science, art, self-esteem, special needs, CPR/1st
Aid (additional $25 fee) and many more.
Utah Rural School Conference
Utah Rural Schools Association (URSA) seeks to provide instruction
in rural elementary and secondary schools in Utah to maintain their
high standards. This annual conference contributes toward that goal.
The three day meetings help rural schools and districts identify
and meet their educational goals; improve communication among rural
schools, the State Office of Education, institutions of higher learning,
regional education service centers, the public, and other agencies;
coordinate programs and activities and to provide sharing of services,
resources, and information; and encourage the development of stronger
pre-service and in-service training of teachers and administrators
in rural schools. Keynotes and presenters provide sessions in software,
computers, literacy, science, art, math, music, fitness, and self
awareness.
