CONFERENCES
Reading Conference--Literacy for All: Focus on Vocabulary
The conference features nationally known authors and illustrators, as well as other literacy professionals who present information to enhance literacy across the grades. Participants will be involved in learning about current research based methods and materials to further literacy skills, literature infusion and proficiency in language arts in their classrooms.

Early Childhood Collaboration Conference
The conference is designed to provide a quality training experience that brings together the many partners of the Early Childhood Community. The goal is to educate each other, provide opportunities and highlight resources that are available in our communities to improve the quality of life for the youngest of citizens. Workshop sessions feature math/innumeracy, early literacy, science, art, self-esteem, special needs, CPR/1st Aid (additional $25 fee) and many more.

Utah Rural School Conference
Utah Rural Schools Association (URSA) seeks to provide instruction in rural elementary and secondary schools in Utah to maintain their high standards. This annual conference contributes toward that goal. The three day meetings help rural schools and districts identify and meet their educational goals; improve communication among rural schools, the State Office of Education, institutions of higher learning, regional education service centers, the public, and other agencies; coordinate programs and activities and to provide sharing of services, resources, and information; and encourage the development of stronger pre-service and in-service training of teachers and administrators in rural schools. Keynotes and presenters provide sessions in software, computers, literacy, science, art, math, music, fitness, and self awareness.

Mini Camp Shakespeare
Workshops on William Shakespeare, plays and USF activities for the student unable to attend a week long workshop. Six professional productions, daily seminars, class sessions and behind the scenes activities with directors & designers are included in the four days of Mini Camp Shakespeare. Dr. Flachmann is a professor of English at CSU Bakersfield & Dramaturg for the Tony Award-Winning USF. In 1995, he was selected as “ US Professor of the Year” by the Carnegie Foundation.

Camp Shakespeare for Seniors
Intensive workshops on William Shakespeare, plays and USF activities. Six professional productions, daily seminars, class sessions and behind the scenes activities with directors & designers for a total of over 50 hours of instruction. Dr. Flachmann is a professor of English at CSU Bakersfield & Dramaturg for the Tony Award-Winning USF. In 1995, he was selected as “ US Professor of the Year” by the Carnegie Foundation.
