designimg Great Hall - Hunter Conference Center
Photo: The Great Hall set up for a banquetThe elegant Great Hall is similar to many halls in Europe, showcasing the beautiful landmark two-story stained glass windows. This room is ideally suited for banquets, receptions or a theatre-style setup. Often called the Hall of Honor, the Great Hall has portraits displayed of many people who have been recognized for their part in the history of the University. Sparkling chandeliers hang down the center of the room from the high, open beam ceiling. The rich mahogany wood throughout the hall, a grand piano, and brightly colored banners add to the ambiance of this most unusual and distinctive room.

Staging and spotlights can be requested for either end of the Great Hall depending on your event’s requirements. Having twenty-four ceiling speakers distributed throughout the room, the sound system provides full coverage with connections that can meet all types of applications from regular microphones, to wireless hand-held microphones and lapel microphones. The system can also accommodate use of multimedia projectors with computers, DVD players, and VCRs for video presentations. A large 12-foot wide screen is tucked away in the ceiling when not in use. Live, interactive connections for teleconferencing can be arranged in the Great Hall as well as other rooms in the Hunter Conference Center. The room has wireless internet access and phone jacks, if needed.
