
At SUU, the Instructional Media Integration Centre [IMIC] was established in 2003 as a centralized office to support educators in the integration of instructional media and use of Learning Managment Systems [LMS] into the various learning environments. The IMIC also manages the development of online courses offered from SUU.
This center includes administrative system elements, guidelines and standards in the development of online courses and projects. Although each course is developed independently, they should ultimately coordinate, integrate and standardize with the existing and future online education system at SUU. The understanding of system elements, requirements and limitations should be the initial step in online course development.
