A1.2- Incomplete/Temporary Grades
Students must complete online courses within the semester registered for or work with the instructor for an Incomplete. In the policies and procedures documentation, from Distance Education, the following information has been included:
  • Time Limit: Beginning May 1, 2004, students registered into online or hard-copy syllabus courses will be expected to complete the course(s) in the semester in which the course(s) is/are registered.
  • More Time: If students have circumstances which they feel merits an incomplete for the semester grade, they must communicate their concerns/needs to the instructor. If the instructor is willing to give them more time, he/she can enter a T for temporary. On-campus professors will need to complete departmental paperwork to submit a “T” rather than a grade. Students must complete the course in less than one year. Faculty are asked by the IMIC and IT administration to only extend time limits in special circumstances and not based on student tardiness and convenience.
