Facilities::

At SUU there are several facilities available to faculty and staff in the development of instructional technology tools, presentations, and applications. The Instructional Media Integration Centre [IMIC] and Faculty Center [FC] have created a co-operation of services and equipment to fully service faculty and staff here at SUU.

There are a lot of overlapping services that both the IMIC and FC offer. However, each center specializes in supporting faculty differently. The IMIC's main focus and support is with all courses using instructional technology and media delivered through SUU's Learning Management Systems (i.e. WebCT, eLearning, etc.). The FC's specialization is with faculty using instructional technology with individual grant, research projects and complex custom learning objects. In some cases, faculty may have a project that requires assistance from both centers, hence the co-op.

Our facilities are open from 8:30 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We have full time staff here to assist you in your project development.

Equipment & Software::

The IMIC has a quaint but well equipped location that is available for faculty to come and develop instructional materials and media for courses. We have two stations with computers, periphrials and software that is used for development. Or if you have a laptop we are fully set up in the HCC for wireless connectivity, creating the opportunity of spacious and mostly quiet couches and comfy chairs to be an ideal location to develop.

We also have the abilty to ________ and format the analog media into a digital copy.

Keep in mind we follow all copyright laws regarding materials and media converted into current formats for use of educational and archiving purposes.

The Instructional Media Integration Centre is located in the Hunter Conference Center. You can access our offices on the south side of the building via the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, Room 103-N.
