Full Name: Annette Murray
Title: Financial Aid Counselor (former International Admissions Coordinator)
Job Duties: I am responsible for all aspects of Federal Financial Aid, including verification, packaging, consortium agreements, document management, satisfactory progress and appeals committees. I also meet with prospective and current students to assist in planning and preparation for enrollment at SUU and counsel them on loans. I enthusiastically and sincerely represent SUU in Early Awareness Programs such as Welcome Week for current students, and recruitment presentations and at high school nights for prospective students. Also, I recently served a year as president of the Staff Association.
Favorite thing about your position: I get to meet people from all over the world and get to learn about there culture, their families and I love them all. I just love SUU the campus and community. This is the most beautiful place on earth to me. To assist people from all walks of life brings me a great deal of satisfaction. Sometimes just a smile and a friendly face is all they might need. School and money are often very stressful and when we can help out to make it just a little bit better for them, we will.

Favorite thing about SUU: The people, the beautiful campus, the great environment.
Favorite thing to do in Cedar City: Ride horses, Wheeling, to be in the mountains at our cabin. Enjoy time with my family, and to spoil my grandsons.
Why You Chose to work at SUU: I grew up just up the street from SUU and have loved this campus. After 23 years in the grocery business, I wanted a life change and this was the first place I wanted to be. My happiness comes from helping others, and using my customer skills, giving them all a very personal touch.
"SUU is a place I feel safe and happy because of the beautiful campus. As a child I would come here to ride my bike, roller skate on the new cement and enjoy the big trees and listen to the birds."
