Full Name: Stephen Allen
Title: Executive Director of Enrollment Management
Job Duties: Steve integrates the functions of admissions, school relations, financial aid and scholarships, and marketing, all to recruit and retain students.
Favorite thing about your position: I get to work with all parts of campus, especially students. I am excited about leading campus in its enrollment efforts.
Your Degrees and Where You Went to School:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Southern Utah University (Steve served as SUU student body president during the 1997-98 school year. )
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration, University of Nebraska
- Pursuing Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, University of Nebraska

Favorite Band or CD: Billy Joel
Favorite TV Show: Law & Order
Favorite Book: To Kill A Mockingbird
Favorite Movie: Dana Carvey stuff
Favorite Food: Chimichangas
Hometown: Monticello, UT

Favorite thing about SUU: SUU has so much going for it with its high quality education, and the beautiful facilities and surroundings. It all certainly makes my job easier and more pleasurable. It is a cohesive campus; the faculty and staff are all very willing to help their co-workers and students. I very much appreciate the advantages of a smaller school.

Favorite thing to do in Cedar City: Go up in the mountains

Why You Chose to work at SUU: There is no other institution that I love more. There isn't any other job that could have attracted me more. It seems a perfect fit. I'm very thrilled to be doing what I'm doing.
