I hope you are all doing well and know how much I love you all. I have to tell you a funny story. After you all left I drove 5 hours to my home in Monticello with Scott and my brother and sister in law. I fell asleep for about 3 hours of the drive and when I wake up we were stopping at a gas station. My first thought when I wake up was that we would probably be at the gas station for 30 minutes because all of you needed to get off the bus and go to the restroom and buy a snack or two! Then I realized that you all were no longer with me and I was sad. I miss you all, but your example will live with me forever!!! Keep in touch and come visit us all! I truly had a life changing experiance that i didnt think was possible. You guys taught me so much and you have all touched my life forever i am truly grateful. We were so busy that when I got home, my body took advantage of having nothing to do and I ended up sleeping for 14 hours! I totally have to agree with what Andrew said. You guys were always so positive and I am so glad that I got to spend so much time with people like you. I looked at the group picture and I just couldn't believe that two weeks ago I didn't know any of you. By the way, if anybody's address or phone number changes, let everybody know. My name is clearly McKay. I participated in GHA 2005, and loved every single minute of it. I want to give you all a word of advice- NEVER LOOSE THE GHA SPIRIT. I am sure that many people will loose contact with each other, but let the spirit and the feelings you all had live on forever. GHA changed my life, and I am sure that it changed yours. I just wanted to say Amen to Mr. McKay Tripp who was one of my roomates at GHA 2005. Keep the GHA Spirit alive and Keep in Contact!!! (For those of you who are wondering who in the world I am, I am the kid that came down on your First day of GHA to pick-up a body at the local Southern Utah Mortuary...and then I made a longer appearance on Thursday.) Before I leave you all, I just wanted to say that I think you are the most tightly bonded group I've ever met. Even more than last year's GHA'ers. Keep that bond strong because you'll find that your fellow GHA'ers are the ones who help you out in your darkest hours. As an amazing counselor of yours said, "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened." (That was Kelli Blake that said that by the way.) At the closing banquet i was told by someone who has been involved in GHA for the past few years that he has never seen a group that didn't form cliques and he has never seen a group cry before dinner even started. He was telling me that we were the closest group he has ever seen! i just want everyone to know that i am so pround of you all and that you are all going to do great and amazing things you guys are all my unsung heros! Heidi Eysser - 7/1/2006 (8:30:54 PM) OOOOOOOOOOOOO welll pretty much i miss everyone, and everytime i think about anyone or anything we did i just break down and cry! I don't think i have ever cried so much in my life. I am an emotional mess..... lol!!! but pretty much GHA was the most amazing experience ever. You have no idea how much i have learned. I have really think about everything we learned and I tried to apply it to my day.... sounds corney but i want to be a better person because of all of you. The last six days or so every time sam would open his mouth I'd end up crying. when I read his message his voice rang through my head and I cried all over again. I agree I think we miss each other so much because we were so close, I'm refusing to look at the pictures until wed because I know I'll cry too much I tried last night with pictures from the first day we all look so different then compared to the pictures taken at closing banquet. You see when i got back home yesterday i noticed how different the atmosphere was and i remember telling my parents that people in Price are seem so negative. I went to the store today and i seen some people and they just looked at me so I smiled, and I could just see that look in their eyes but i really don't care. There are some people you can get through to and some you just can't, it's not going to be an easy task but once it happens it will be the best thing ever. Jacob H - 7/1/2006 (11:22:26 PM) Hey team! I miss everyone of you, the ten days of GHA were rockin' awesome! It was alright to be able to sleep about 7 times as much as the morning before (13 hours straight) but I would have rather been dead tired partying with all or one of you. I was sitting at work in my green Sinclair shirt today, and like Maria I would see the backs of peoples' heads and think I knew them from GHA but of course I didn't. At least I didn't see any pink elephants. I hope no one thinks "it" is over, or that they just knew me or us. Sure we can never live June 21-30, 2006 over again, but we still know each other, we're still all friends, even if we are miles apart. I'll always support you in the all good things you do. I hope to see EVERYone again! It's neat to have such amazing friends. Don't forget me when you're famous! Holy cow there is alot of judging people that goes on in B-Town, i have really tried hard not to judge people or be all sterio typical. My friends i think were a little annoyed when i told them it wasn't right to sterio type people they didn't even know. Thanks for creating such a great atmosphere... i want to try to help everyone to feel what we have felt! Because of you I have been changed for good! You all have such amazing talents share them with others, because you all have changed my life. I completly agree with Jacob H i wish i could RE-Live June 21-30. COUNCELORS... I just wanted to tell you all the try out for the Presidential Ambassadors Program at SUU in Feb. 2007! I and two other GHA'ers (McKay and Kirk Blake's Little Bro. Steve) made it in and we found out that it is like a GHA you can have during school and then you can stay in it for as long as you're at school and meet the requirements. I almost yelled at my friend because we were at a store and I asked a Mexican lady a question and my friend told me she didn't speak English. The website's www.astrocamputah.org. It's a really good program. Of course, it couldn't ever match GHA, but it's a great experience for younger kids. I too have been trying to catch up on sleep. I have also been trying to catch up on golf that I missed while at GHA and on time missed with my fam. My daughter Morgan had her second birthday last week. We had a BBQ and played with fireworks. It was awesome. There is one thing that I forgot to tell all of you during the academy. Leslie (my wife) and I are trying to adopt a baby. We have already been approved through LDS Family Services and now we are just waiting for an amazing birth mother who decides to give her baby up for adoption and who will choose us as the adoptive couple. It's pretty amazing that someone can love their baby so much, that they choose to give it up for adoption. Anywho, if any of you know of someone who is pregnant and looking to give thier baby up for adoption, let them know that their is a family waiting in Cedar City for them. It was awesome read people's messages that hadn't written before. Like Caytee said we were at another camp together so it was awesome. We had a lot of inside jokes. We told some pirate jokes too ARRRRGH!. We shared some of the GHA spirit with people, and it was pretty fun, GHA was still way better. Some participants there knew some of you and everyone I talked said great things about you. I had to leave my room and sleep on the couch the first night because one of my roommates was snoring so loud.
