Bradley Gledhill - 11/1/2007 (5:03:36 PM)
......I LIVE!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm back! YES! So... Guess what? I'm one of the lead characters in my school play! Sweet! ....So.... How 'bout them Red Socks? ....Anybody?

michelle - 11/1/2007 (6:09:07 PM)
Hey everyone! Congrats to Quinn! I'm excited that we know about the reunion and I want to see your play Stuart! Let me know when it starts showing. Oh, and pretty much I'm way excited to see some of you down at SUU tomorrow for Distinguished Scholars Day! Good job Bradley! Meh, well I'll talk to you all laters! "People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be." - Abraham Lincoln.

Natalie Hatch - 11/2/2007 (4:35:09 PM)
Congratulations Quinn!! Way to go Brad!! What play are you guys doing? When (and where) is it? Urinetown The Musical is almost ready for an audience at my school. You should all come. It's more about Human Rights than potty jokes, I promise. "Give." --The Little Stream

Nick Bradford - 11/2/2007 (6:47:02 PM)
What up Bradley!!! Good job on your school play. And yes the Red Sox took the World Series. . . again . . . I was kind of rooting for the Rockies--but no bigs. Good job Stuart--you've survived another few days--you might just make it with your workload:)! Good luck on everything everybody! I've got some SAT Subject Tests in the morning, and I think I'm about to be blasted out of the water by the Spanish with Listening one, but it's all good--I'll kick butt on U.S. History and Literature. Merry Weekend Everybody! Happy End of Term!

Squirrel Clements - 11/3/2007 (12:04:31 PM)
Hey Nick! Yes I have survived so far, but I also dropped a bit of my workload so I could. Anyway, my quote for the day is by Abraham Lincoln, "He who takes offense when offense was not intended is a fool. He who takes offense when offense is intended is also a fool." It was good to see some of you at SUU for the scholar's day. And for those of you who couldn't go, Quinn is positive that the reunion is on the 30th and first, but he still doesn't know where. :D

michelle - 11/3/2007 (8:36:30 PM)
Ahh yes it was way good to see Heather, Jed, Stuart, and Scott! I really enjoyed myself (even if waiting in lines is boring ;)...). I hope everyone got home ok, it took me till 12 to get home but it was worth it. I hope everyone's weekends are going great and well, I don't know I'm just rambling now I guess....but hey Scott I found the perfect quote to go with our question. "Did nothing in particular, and did it very well." - W.S. Gilbert

michelle - 11/3/2007 (8:39:04 PM)
oh my gosh! I LEFT OUT SAM! I saw you there too!! Wow....I feel stupid....

Heather Young - 11/4/2007 (1:36:15 PM)
Hey guys! It really was good to see all the people that were at distinguished scholars day on Saturday! And for all of you southern Utah people that are going this weekend, I hope you guys have fun. I kind of wish I could go to the one this coming weekend too just so I could see some more GHA people :) But oh well, hopefully I'll see a bunch of you at the reunion :)

George - 11/5/2007 (8:25:43 PM)
I just got back from Hill Air Force Base. That place is cool! We actually got to go back into the more classified areas, it was pretty awesome. Any opinions on whether or not we should do more research on nuclear power?

Squirrel Clements - 11/7/2007 (2:06:42 PM)
Hooray for GHA! And it was awesome to see all of you distinguished scholars! Man, it feels good to have a spare moment when I can actually get on the GHA website! My quote for today is "If life were full of moments . . . then you'd never know you had one." -Into the Woods Party on and I cannot wait until COLLEGE!

Squirrel Clements - 11/7/2007 (2:10:08 PM)
Hey George, here is just my personal opinion on nuclear power. I believe that we should do more research on nuclear power, based on the idea that through research we can improve it and decrease the waste. That way, if/when nuclear power becomes the main source of electricity, we save our natural resources and keep nature more in balance with the human race. But that's just me standing on a little soapbox in the corner. People are still entitled to have their own opinions about it.

Mike Munson - 11/7/2007 (6:16:14 PM)
Ok, so far I know atleast four of us will be at SUU for this weekend. Anyone else besides Julie, Pete, Bradley and me? Its gonna be way cool! I guess your a little ahead of us George, our Ethnographic rough drafts are due tomorrow. Mine is terrible but hey whats new? Nuclear power.....nope don't have an opinion sorry. see ya!

Brianne Mauhar - 11/7/2007 (8:21:12 PM)
Oh wow! It has been awhile for me =) I miss you all. Life is crazy!!! I turn eighteen in two weeks though, so thats exciting. Glad to see everyone is doing well!

Mike Munson - 11/7/2007 (9:26:50 PM)
Sweet Brianne! My b-day is Monday! nice =)

Brianne Mauhar - 11/8/2007 (6:50:36 AM)
Happy early birthday Mike!!!

Nick Bradford - 11/8/2007 (4:40:14 PM)
Hello everybody! Haven't heard from you on here for a while Brianne! What a busy week; I have two club public relations things to do tommorow at lunch--life never seems to slow down! Grrr. O well-GHA optimism is really getting me through this all though:) On the whole nuclear power debate: fission is going to be old news in a few years; once NASA brings back Helium 3 back from the moon it's cold fusion all the way-practically unlimited power with water as a waste product. Good times, happy weekend!

George - 11/10/2007 (8:42:35 PM)
What's with the grant stuff? Maybe that's what Jared meant by spammers. Thanks everyone for their input about nuclear power stuff. I go to my competition on Monday in Orem! I am so excited for this competition :)

michelle - 11/11/2007 (9:20:48 PM)
I'm scared to write anything, but I guess I will....what's going on with the board? All the naughty stuff on it!?!

Quinn Mortensen - 11/12/2007 (11:38:48 AM)
This email was sent out today.Hello to All!I'm sorry for the delay. We are doing the GHA reunion on November 30 - December 1 hopefully in Heber City. The location is not 100% but will be by this time next week I will know for sure. If by some fluke it is not in Heber City, it will most likely be in Salt Lake County. There should be enough room for everyone to come and spend the night in a large cabin. We will provide some transportation for those in Southern Utah (Fillmore South). Myself, Jared and Juliann will be driving vans to the reunion and we will fill them up with GHAers that want to go to the reunion up north but are unable to drive. We will most likely meet at SUU campus and leave from there. The time is tentative on November 30th for leaving but it should be at about noon. I will be mailing out more information Wednesday. Included in this info will be your admission standing to SUU (that is if you have any items outstanding that need to be sent in), as well as a website to register for the reunion, and the GHA DVD. There will be a $20 cost for the reunion. If you have any questions about the cost, please let me know. Remember, more info is coming so get pumped up and get ready to register. Please forward this to anyone who you think may not have received it.Sincerely,Quinn MortensenDirectorThe Governor's Honors Academy 351 University BlvdCedar City, UT 84720435-865-8015435-865-8785 [fax] www.suu.edu/gha

Cameron Pruett - 11/13/2007 (10:28:54 PM)
So due to a terrible realization on my part i am not able to come to the reunion... i have a huge gig for jazz band and a training meeting for work. I regret having to admit this... it was insane lack of planning on my part...

Squirrel Clements - 11/14/2007 (12:09:03 PM)
So I can come to the reunion! And no I don't think that there is any naught stuff on the message board Michelle, so you're safe. :D

George - 11/14/2007 (9:46:49 PM)
Well, I am glad that the spammers' messages got taken off. I am excited for the reunion, but I can only get to about Salt Lake City, so I will probably have to bum a ride, or Stu will have to work out the whole teleportation thing soon :p. Tomorrow is the last day of my English 1010 class, so we get to write an in class essay for the final.

Squirrel Clements - 11/15/2007 (10:34:45 AM)
I'm working on it! The teleportation I'm not sure will work out well for anything planning to stay in any form of the same physical shape they were before. It is possible though. It has been proven that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, therefore, such as the shortest route for an airplane from one point to another is curved, because a straight line would go through the surface of the earth, the same principle applies to the universe. Essentially, you find that to get from one point to another in the universe, you are, in fact, traveling a curved line. A straight line would put you through the fourth dimension, (the earth's crust in the example of the plane) and you would end up bending points together to create a straight line, and can therefore walk instantaneously from any one place to another place. The problem with this is that the only known way to travel in such a fashion is to create a black hole, which will tear you apart into a molecule chain and in theory, you would be spit back out of a white hole in space, be reassembled, and be perfectly fine. The actual problem comes up when you realize that as society, we do not know the location of any white holes, and even if we did, when a person is reassembled, they would be placed back in space, their body would turn inside out and they wouldn't be able to be inform us if they made it out of a white hole. Anyway, have fun! And if anyone understood what I just said, that's great and if you have any improvements on the theory I would be glad to hear them. ;)

Heather Young - 11/16/2007 (1:10:47 PM)
Hey guys! So I'm pretty excited for the reunion. I'll only be able to be there Saturday night until around 9 or 10, but I'm glad that I at least get to go to part of it. I hope to see everyone there. And, I think we should make a card or something from all of us to send to Kate in the MTC. It would be pretty sweet! :) I'll talk to you all later.

Natalie Hatch - 11/16/2007 (4:03:45 PM)
Hey guys! Life has been definately crazy. We opened Urinetown on Wendsday (but there's a performance tonight and tommorrow if you want to come ;D) so life has been hectic. I'm way excited for the reunion. If anyone north of Heber city needs a ride, my dad would be happy to see me carpooling. Gus the Big Blue Bus can hold seven people plus luggage. Catch ya later!! "Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain."

Heather Sundblom - 11/18/2007 (7:07:20 PM)
I do need to get on here more often, it's been over a month! It seems crazy! The school play that i've been in has been amazing. Closing night is tomorrow. Jed, thanks so much for coming! I'm so excited for the reunion! It is going to be amazing. I need to see GHA people, because watching the DVD has given me major withdrawls. Natalie, I would love carpool with you. I need to find a ride, so if that will work.. then that would be lovely! It sounds like everyone has had extremely busy schedules. Are there any fun plans for Thanksgiving. I can't believe that it's almost here. 4 days!!!!! WOW! I love Thanksgiving. It always is lovely to see family. I'm estatic to see all of those who come to the reunion... I hope it's all of you! Cameron! You ruined my hope for it being all GHAers! :( Lots of love! "One who wants to lead the orchestra has to turn its back on the crowd."

Abe Martin - 11/18/2007 (7:57:11 PM)
Just so everyone knows, I'm still alive. School has pretty much eaten my life for the past several months. I can't believe we're already coming up on halfway through our senior years! Hope everyone's doing great! I can't wait to finally get the videos! "The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.--Ben Stein"

George - 11/18/2007 (9:22:08 PM)
Well, one of my classes is done, and another one only has about a week worth of days left! I am way excited about the reunion, but I have a little transportation issue. My family can only get me to Salt Lake City, and they won't let me drive myself :(.

michelle - 11/18/2007 (9:59:29 PM)
Ok, so if I read the email Quinn sent and the thing on here, there will be transportation for us near Salt Lake that can't make it to Heber? Or no? LOL I need to know before I register I think. But I am hopefully coming, I asked for the days off from work and my boss is normally good about it so. Abe shush! I don't care if we're halfway through I don't want to know!! :( sounds weird I know but, I'm just as scared to graduate as I am excited. Stuart I somewhat understood it...hehe...yay me though! They finally got my application all sorted out (if you want to know the whole story just ask) and I've been accpeted! Who else has and is going to SUU for sure? Espcially girls - I'm looking for people that I know to maybe room with in dorms. Love you all mucho! (and since I'm in an amazing mood at the moment here's one of my fav lines from a song called 'Bite My Tounge' see if you get it). "I'm sweeping up the second that tick off the clock/ I'm savin up for later when I'm too ticked to tock." - Relient K

Quinn Mortensen - 11/19/2007 (8:32:22 AM)
We will provide transportation from about Fillmore and south. Sorry for those in SLC. I'm sure that you can find a ride with someone from SLC. The reunion registration is online and active so everyone can now register for the reunion. It will be great to see all of you next week. Take care!

Nick Bradford - 1/16/2008 (9:45:25 PM)
testing . . .

Nick Bradford - 1/16/2008 (9:46:27 PM)
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!! It works again, thank you SUU tech support! Now all we need to do is get everybody back online!

George - 1/17/2008 (1:05:12 PM)
Alright! It finally works again. How does everyone feel now that we are halfway done with Senior year?

Natalie Hatch - 1/17/2008 (6:09:35 PM)
Yahoo!! It lives!! I can't believe this year has gone by so fast. Five months until we graduate. Yikes!

Natalie Hatch - 1/19/2008 (11:28:13 AM)
Should we send out a mass email to let everyone know it's up and running again?

Michelle - 1/20/2008 (2:04:32 PM)
YES! Nick you did exactly what I've been doing for like forever!! Wow who got it working? haha....Natalie I agree but I don't want to do it! And seriously how is everyone's year going? How was everyone's Christmas and New Years and I hope everyone had a blast at the reunion cuz I did (except for the whole getting stuck in traffic, getting lost, backtracking, knocking on strangers doors, slidding off the road, no cell service part! hahaha ;D)

Natalie Hatch - 1/21/2008 (8:24:20 PM)
Thnaks for bringing up those wonderful memories, Michelle. ;p I'll send out an email tonight. I hope everyone had a great MLK Jr. day!!

Heather Sundblom - 1/21/2008 (9:15:42 PM)
Yay! I'm so excited that this message board is working again! It makes me so happy! haha. Oh, I loved the reunion, we need to have another one! I miss everyone. Which reminds me, is anyone going to a leadership weekends? If so, which one? I'm going if I can find a ride down to Cedar. Love you all!

Nick Bradford - 1/21/2008 (9:30:59 PM)
PARTY ON!!! Natalie thanks for sending the mass e-mail, I hadn't had time to transliterate everybody's address onto my system--lol no time whatsover. Yeah, I should've have done it earlier, but I kept getting tired of not being able to submit anything to the webpage. So I said "this is screwy" and after two months finally emailed the tech support guys at SUU and they fixed it in two seconds practically (praise their names forever and ever). I guess it was another one of those "picking up the poop on the yellow brick road" scenarios like Mike Cottam talked about at GHA (good times--I miss the sunshine and your smiles guys). It makes me way happy to know that I'm not the only one who's been checking weekly to see if the message board would ressurect itself :-) Just to get everybody up to speed on December/January. . . IB sucks, Brianne M. and I went to see the midnight showing of National Treasure II, IB sucks royally, I took 1st in Student Congress at a Debate Tourney @ Woodscross (saw Jordann Christensen there!) I applied to Harvard, Princeton, & Stanford, IB sucks, Christmas dance was divine, I'm in at the U of U, IB sucks--end of term was $@?! (use your imagination) but I survived, I took 1st in Congress Debate at our Bountiful Tournament (this year is the first time I've ever taken a first place in anything really . . . kinda crazy fun!), IB Sucks, and I'm going on a Debate Trip to La Mirada HS in California (next to Disneyland) this week (any of you debaters going?)--I'm way excited. And by the way, I'm Bountiful HS Sterling Scholar in History, so I hope to see some of you Wasatch front folks at the interviews (???)! Peace out and cheerio and all that wot . . . how is the GHA world out there?

Nick - 1/21/2008 (9:32:26 PM)
Sorry I kinda blew up back there . . . just so much to tell ;-)

Cameron - 1/21/2008 (11:35:50 PM)
Party on its right good heavens i almost died... i was about to have them cut the life support on me... lol jk

George - 1/22/2008 (7:25:49 AM)
Congrats, Nick! I also checked the board, about weekly, so do not feel like a geek. I am Wendover Sterling Scholar in Computer Tech, but I'm in the North-East region (I have no idea why, we're closer to Wasatch).

Brianne Mauhar - 1/22/2008 (11:29:25 AM)
Heather, I'm going to the leadership weekend the first week in January. Except now I'm mad cause I just realized I'm going to miss the superbowl =( I'm so sad. What week are you going?

Brianne Mauhar - 1/22/2008 (11:29:26 AM)
Heather, I'm going to the leadership weekend the first week in January. Except now I'm mad cause I just realized I'm going to miss the superbowl =( I'm so sad. What week are you going?

Natalie Hatch - 1/22/2008 (12:17:45 PM)
Yeah! It worked. Congrats and the Student Congresses. Way to go on the sterling scholars too! I'm the speech/drama sterling scholar at my shcool, and I pretty sure I'm in the wasatch region. Peace out and happy half year left!!

Ray - 1/22/2008 (4:01:34 PM)
hey, someone told me to get on this before. So..hello. I'm glad you're all doing well. Congratulations on all the great things going on. Um..I'm gonna try to go to the leadership weekend thing maybe if i'm not too late. haha. bye!

Dani - 1/22/2008 (7:03:20 PM)
I feel as if I've been missing out! I didn't even know this was here! Shows you how well I pay attention...So I'm glad to know you're all alive and doing well. I'm the General Sterling Scholar for my school, but I'm so far south that I won't see any of you at the interviews...

Michelle - 1/23/2008 (4:04:37 PM)
Yay! Wow so this is crazy all of you are like super over-achievers or something haha jk :D. Well my December and January were pretty much ok. I'm getting a new job which is going to be nice. Oh and I'm finally getting my senior pictures done and that's exciting oh and I'm going to Girl's Day at my school.....sheesh hehe too much and it's all kinda personal I guess cuz none of you can really relate to my stuff but maybe who knows. Well Dani WELCOME! Same with Ray! Finally hehe not many people knew about it but it's pretty much grand!

Nick - 1/28/2008 (8:25:06 PM)
Yo!!! I'm back from California! How come nobody's been posting? Welcome Dani and Ray, and hello again to the rest of the boarders! It's going to be one crazy week, good luck all! ;>

Heather Sundblom - 1/29/2008 (10:45:34 PM)
Yay! Brianne, I'm going the same weekend as you are. Wow Nick, that's pretty amazing. So I take it that IB Sucks. Congrats for everyone that got sterling scholar. I'm the English Sterling Scholar for my school. Making the portfolio was EXTREMELY stressful. Hopefully I'll see a few of you at the Wasatch interviews. Today has been a wonderful day! I hope all of you are having similar types of days. I love you all! Be happy!

Nick - 1/31/2008 (5:27:21 PM)
Hey Heather. Congrats on English Sterling Scholar!!! And yes IB sucks and the portfolio was oober EXTREMELY stressful to put together. Come say hi to me at the Wasatch interviews too:) And no I have not had a day I would describe as "wonderful" since . . . Well let's not go into that--good times!!! Be happy, right!!!

Natalie Hatch - 2/4/2008 (9:17:16 PM)

Natalie Hatch - 2/4/2008 (9:21:00 PM)
That was smart. I just got back from theatre conference, where I saw Jed and Bradley H. I hope all that went to the weekend @ SUU had fun. Have any of you sterling scholars found out when you're interview time is? Mine's at like 5:45. I hope you all a splendid week and remember... "Don't forget to smile, even if you're sad. Hey if anyone is going to the leadership weekend on the 8th and 9th i can give you a ride or we can get a carpole to go down there. call me 801-910-9114

Nick Bradford - 2/5/2008 (9:54:41 PM)
Hey Sam!!! How are you doing? I take it you've been Hawaii or someplace else tropical and somewhat above freezing temperature (???). I was getting scared we had a major dry spell in post for a week there, but it looks like we're doing a bit better :-) Thank goodness for UBSCT tests (we get late-start 9:30 while sophomores have to take that sufficiently awesome test)--I'm going to breakfast at Dee's tomorrow. OOOOHHH good news! I've got my Harvard Alumni Interviews tomorrow and my Princeton ones coming up--so wish me luck ;-/ Hope everybody enjoyed their Mardi Gras today! Check this out: so I watched Dejavu with Denzel Washington in it for the first time today and the movie actually occurs on Mardi Gras--really, really weird it's like . . . dejavu all over again jk hahaha!!! Yeah you can tell I've been working too hard, so I'm done now. Night all!!! "Luck is the residue of design" John Milton.

Nick - 2/5/2008 (9:56:05 PM)
Hey I just posted so I didn't see you on here Jed! May fortune be with you as well! How are things with you?

Jed Atkinson - 2/7/2008 (6:52:37 PM)
I'm doing really well. How are you? I love Dejavu it is amazing.

Samantha Wallin - 2/8/2008 (9:52:05 AM)
Hey Nick!!! I totally wish I was somewhere that had a temperature that was above freezing, but I wasn't. And Jed, I will see you at the Leadership Weekend in like three hours...weird. Dejavu again.....

Michelle - 2/10/2008 (10:46:28 PM)
Hey ya'll! So how's everyone's February going? Oh Nick I TOTALLY beat you on the "time to be to school for UBSCT tests" I didn't have to go till *ah hem* 12:35!! Oh man oh man I loved it! I went and saw Fool's Gold today and I'd recommend it to everyone cuz I liked it. It needs to be warmin up here pretty darn soon! The cold is getting a bit depressing.....haha. Well hope everyone's weekend went great! Good luck Nick! Oh and have hope Sam & Jed had fun (wish I coulda come down). "Smiles are the soul's kisses." - Minna Thomas Antrim

Michelle - 2/10/2008 (10:47:33 PM)
Well, yeah I just realized that your interviews would be over so how'd they go Nick? hahahaha sorry I'm slow and completely exhausted.

Angie Edwards - 2/13/2008 (4:48:20 PM)
Hey everybody! Wow I haven't been on here for a very long time! I feel so lost on what everyone's been up to. I have been so extremely busy it's crazy! But swim finally ended, but I'm quite sure if I am happy or sad about it yet haha. Let's just say I'm glad to be done cuz the season is way too long, but it's sad being a senior and having your last high school meet...ever!! But oh well gotta stay positive right?! 12 days til softball starts. Yeah, I've been counting down for a long time, I am so excited!!! Anyway I miss you all! Have an awesome Valentines Day/Singles Awareness Day tomorrow! Haha "A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him."

George - 2/14/2008 (3:55:57 PM)
What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than by having a snow day? Tooele County called a county-wide snow day, even though Wendover got less than an inch of snow!

Natalie Hatch - 2/15/2008 (5:31:59 PM)
You are too lucky for your own good George. I hope all of you had a happy Valentine's Day. If it was S.A.D. for any of you I'm sorry. I spent all of yesterday handing out CHOCOLATE kisses. "Love is giving someone the opportunity to break your heart, but trusting them not to."--Jessica Peacock

Nick - 2/18/2008 (2:52:54 PM)
V-Day Rocked!!! Dropped off a few roses during school so someone special got a huge surpise :) Next day three of my friends and I gatecrashed an all-girls b-day party with silly string, poppers, and our spandex shirts. Good times rock on. Peace out, good luck with all your hectic schedules!!!

Heather Sundblom - 2/18/2008 (10:09:24 PM)
It sounds like lots of people had an awesome Valentines Day! I too am sick of the snow. I am ready for spring! Even though there is still more than an inch of snow on the ground. I am jealous of you having a snow day! NO FAIR! Oh well, it's all good. I love you all!

Michelle - 2/18/2008 (10:49:38 PM)
Valentine's day was actually ok this year! Not that I have anyone special, just that I didn't let it bother me, oh and the whole SNOW DAY thing rocked as well. The second time in 40 years baby (altho I suppose when you get 20 inches overnight it's mandatory). Cleaning up the snow tho, that was a pain if I ever knew one! Angie don't worry nobody is caught up anymore cuz of how ridiculous the system was being. On better news, I got accepted to the Honors Program at SUU, anyone else? Yay! Well hope your Presidents Day was awesome everyone! "People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be." - Abraham Lincoln

Natalie Hatch - 2/19/2008 (6:58:03 PM)
Hey everyone!! I hope all is going well with you. Random coolness of the day: there is supposed to be a lunar eclipse tomorrow starting at 8:01pm. cool huh? "When life gives you lemons, make grape juice and then sit back and laugh while everyone tries to figure out how you did it."

Nick Bradford - 2/19/2008 (7:20:52 PM)
Yeah--I wish Davis School District still believed in Snow Days!!! Congrats Michelle on Honors College sounds way fun!--what do you plan on going into? Word Heather--the snow totally sucks and we're getting more tomorrow but at least it'll clear this red burn pollution out :-) Natalie I totally love that quote--it's my new motto.

Pete Christensen - 2/19/2008 (9:17:26 PM)
Hey guys glad to hear that you are all doing good. Wrestling just ended for me which is a bummer. But, I did manage to take 5th place at the state tournament. See you later Pete

Michelle - 2/21/2008 (9:38:48 AM)
I totally agree with Nick - I love your quote Natalie! Thanks, Nick. For everyone I plan on studying Elementary Education so. Congrats Pete, that's awesome! Good luck tonight to Heather on your opening!!! And this one is for all of us who are sick of the snow, "The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?" - J.B. Priestley

Nick - 2/24/2008 (5:33:07 PM)
B-Town Basketball is going to state and we get out on Tuesday to watch!!! I'm getting excited because spring is almost here too!!! :-) Just for updates I'm going on to the next round of Sterling Scholar Interviews! (hoorah!) Hope to see a lot of you guys there! Also I took 1st Place in Region Student Congress in Debate on Saturday so I hope to see all you debaters at State! How are things for all of you guys??? Keep me informed, peace out and rock on.

Heather Sundblom - 2/26/2008 (3:47:37 PM)
I also got accepted into the SUU Honors Program. It's pretty exciting. Today has been a snowless day. It was crazy how much fog there was this morning, but now it looks beautiful. A perfect day! That's awesome Pete! Good job! Nick, I think that our b-ball teams played, I wish I would have realized it so I could have come to say Hi to you! It was a good game, but you won. Oh, my musical was amazing. I'm going to miss it. My last musical performance in high school.. ever was last night. I came home and cried. High School is coming to and end too quickly, yet not quickly enough. "Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." -Berthold Auerbach

Aleshea Burton - 3/1/2008 (3:18:16 PM)
Hey everyone! Wow, it has been MONTHS since I have been on this thing. I actually had to look up the password. Life has just been crazy with school, scholarships, sterling scholar, sports, and everyday life stuff. Gee whiz. I am excited though. School is starting to wrap up. All of my teachers have pretty much lost hope of teaching us anything new because my whole class has senioritis. Hope life is going absolutely superb for y'all. Hey Bradley, I saw Mark at SUU on Wednesday and said hi to him from our little PD group. It has been a long time, but I remember all of you vividly. Well GTG see ya!

Michelle - 3/3/2008 (8:13:58 AM)
Hey guys! I'm comin at ya fresh in from California. We came home last night and I totally regretted it! I stepped off the plane and froze!! It had been literally 80 in Los Angeles earlier that day so that was a big shock! Welcome back Aleshea! Congratulations Nick, no one from Tooele made it on :(. How'd your play go Heather? It sounds like it would've been amazing, I really wanted to come see it but I don't even know if I'll get to come see our high school's cuz it's today and tomorrow that's left and I think I work tomorrow too....

Natalie Hatch - 3/3/2008 (3:30:59 PM)
Heather, I know how you feel. Our School Musical just finished on Saturday, which is why I haven't been on FOREVER (or at least it feels that way). Congrats Nick! I saw you in the paper for Sterling Scholar, and good luck at State (to anyone going)!!I hope you all had a marvelous Leap Day!!See ya later!!

Natalie Hatch - 3/3/2008 (3:32:56 PM)
P.S. Applications for 2008 GHA are due soon (like wendnesday). If you've got any future GHAers at your school, give them the extra nudge, I'm sure they could use it ;P

Nick Bradford - 3/3/2008 (7:20:40 PM)
Woah! That's just plain spooky, this time last year I would've been turning in my app for GHA! I feel old-like High School Senior old! I'm not sure how I'm gonna cope with this! Yeah I told a bunch of juniors about it--two words: "GHA Rocks!" Miss you all.

George - 3/3/2008 (10:10:45 PM)
Wow! Looking back, it doesn't seem like that long ago that I turned in my application for GHA! Oh, depressing senior moment. LOL!

Nick - 3/4/2008 (9:40:40 PM)
Hey George good to hear from you again! What's up?

George - 3/4/2008 (9:42:13 PM)
Not much, Nick. Just plodding through the year. Maybe plodding is not the right word...I am keeping fairly busy, but senioritis is totally killer!

Natalie Hatch - 3/5/2008 (12:00:34 PM)
I know what you mean about senioritis George. It's about to drop me two letter grades in Psychology!

Michelle - 3/6/2008 (9:24:02 AM)
Hey guys! I know what you all mean by senioritis and it's TERRIBLE! Specially when the weather is actually starting to stay nice most of the time....SPRING FEVER! And I really can't believe that it's that soon already that we filled everything out, it seems like forever ago....."I have a rock garden. Last week three of them died." - Richard Diran

Kortnee - 3/7/2008 (9:09:02 PM)
Hey George, are you coming to Morgan for Sterling Scholar Competition? I am Sterling Scholar for Family and Consumer Science.

George - 3/8/2008 (11:38:48 AM)
Yes, I am going to Morgan for Sterling Scholar.

Samantha Wallin - 3/8/2008 (2:26:02 PM)

Samantha Wallin - 3/8/2008 (2:27:38 PM)
My bad...Well I just wanted to post some good news. I took state in DECA, and now I get to go to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of the month!!! But Congratulations to everybody else, I love you all! Don't let senioritis get to you, resist the temptation.

Heather Sundblom - 3/9/2008 (5:46:58 PM)
I have senioritis so badly!!!!! EEK! I love the nice weather. It's amazing. That's insane that it's been a year since we turned in GHA applications. I watched the GHA Video today. I love you guys all so much. It's been too long since I've seen you people. We need to get together again. Sam, that is so exciting. Good luck at Nationals! And good luck to anyone going to State for Sterling Scholar!

Nick Bradford - 3/10/2008 (6:45:39 PM)
Give me a what what!!! SHHH! Wow nostalgia. Yeah life is pretty much super crazy busy trying to keep up with grades, friends, and debate . . . the senioritis thing is pretty bad but I think mine's wearing off--I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's coming too fast! I'm sick right now so I'm slowed up pretty good at the moment and it sucks royally. Oh well it's all good. "All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt either" Charles M. Schulz.

Michelle - 3/12/2008 (7:53:54 PM)
Hey guys! Congrats on everyones accomplishments - I really don't have very many to speak of! Seriously, I'm not trying to be humble or anything. Have a blast in Georgia Sam! We definitely need to all get together again!?! "The trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed." - C.S. Lewis

Abe Martin - 3/12/2008 (9:28:14 PM)
Hi everyone! Wow, it's been like...lets see...four months since I last posted! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! I miss GHA.

Mike Munson - 3/13/2008 (10:08:43 PM)
Ya so I think its been atleast a good six months since I posted so lets see um....hey everyone I'm Mike Munson and I went to GHA with you guys. ok j/k but I just wanted to get on and brag a little bit. We took state in 1A basketball and I got First team all-state! K i'm done hope everyone is good see ya

Natalie Hatch - 3/16/2008 (8:57:26 PM)
Hey guys! I'm glad to hear about what you're all up to. If Mike gets to brag, I think I can too and tell you guys that yesterday I found out that the One-Act from our school moves on to region, as does a scene my friend and I are doing. i hope you all have a marvelous St. Patrick's Day!!

Michelle - 3/21/2008 (8:08:55 PM)
Wow our message board has slowed down. Welcome back Abe same with Mike! Congrats on state! Oh and awesome Natalie! Mike what school do you go to again? I wish we were 1A....To be completely honest I spaced St. Patricks day! Like I think I knew it was that day but didn't really know? Does that make any sense? Hmm my news isn't really bragging unless of course you love huge bruises. I went snowboarding on Monday and got hit my some little kid and I have this amazingly huge bruise across my thigh. It's joy let me tell ya! But I hope everyone is doing amazing, it's the end of our Spring Break but how has everyone else's gone?

Nick - 3/23/2008 (6:49:35 PM)
Yo peace out y'all!!! I agree Michelle this board is starting to space out--I guess we shouldn't be surprised, Senior Year is out of control! Oh and the bruise sounds pretty bad too--happy healing:) Happy Easter all! It is a good day--for the sun is rising on a Spring again:) Good times and rock on! Oh and I saw Chelsea Irving at Sterling Scholar interviews a few weeks back! Who else made state finalists?--I guess I'll see you Wednesday:) Hoorah everybody and kick butt this week and every week for that matter! "The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat." Lily Tomlin

Nick - 3/24/2008 (6:16:34 PM)
C'mon guys let's push the envelope-one post a day at least. I was outside all day long: tackle football all morning, lifting and running next, then ULTIMATE. Yeah I'm beat and burned--good times. The perfect spring break day ever and my last one . . . crud!!! Peace y'all.

Nick - 3/25/2008 (12:50:25 PM)
Tuesday! Wow I'm stiff and tired. That's what I get for enjoying frisbee. Anybody else here? Hello . . .

Natalie Hatch - 3/25/2008 (2:20:00 PM)
Wow it has been a while. I just got my housing info. sorry, I won't be going to SUU. But I love you all anyway--Go T-birds! How ddi State go Nick? Michelle, I'm sorry about the bruise, but at least you were doing something fun. I spent sring "break" writing essays and babysitting my siblings. does anyone else realixe we graduate in like two months? crazy, huh?

George - 3/25/2008 (3:30:38 PM)
Spring breaks for me never line up. College is on a different schedule than high school. I got my housing arrangement from SUU, but I don't want to stay at Juniper so I have to look for an apartment. If anyone going to SUU would like to be an apartment mate, let me know. Time passes too slowly and yet so quickly!

Michelle - 3/26/2008 (7:16:06 PM)
Hey guys! Sorry Nick I will try to comment every day too, I just hadn't realized that you'd said so till today. Natalie where are you going to school then? And George I totally agree! I'm like number 60 on the Eccles waiting list and I'm a little bugged about it all cuz I have a scholarship to Juniper but I really really don't want to stay there but I really don't want to end up like in an apartment and then come halfway thru the year and end up without housing or something like that. Grrr....Anyway yeah the bruise is still there dang it and it still hurts but I guess I can't complain cuz like Natalie said, I got it doing something fun! "Those who trust us, educate us." - George Eliot

Mike M. - 3/26/2008 (8:11:58 PM)
Ya I go to Escalante High. I know its not something to be amazingly proud of to take state in a 1A sport but oh well. Looks like Nick's doing a good job of keeping this thing going. What happened to the other 45 kids? See ya

Nick - 3/27/2008 (9:43:36 PM)
Hey good news everybody :0 Chelsea Irving is the State Sterling Scholar in Social Studies from Wasatch!!! Hoorah GHA Pride!!! BTW you're fine Michelle--you've been posting pretty darn consistently. Sorry if I sounded grouchy back there--I just like seeing updates everynow and then. It's all good--I know everybody is super busy beyond all reason (I know I am). Hey Mike good work with the State Basketball! That's darn impressive; I wish I could play B-Ball. Hope everybody gets housing like they want at SUU. I find out about my applications to Princeton and Harvard on Monday (pray, cross your fingers, and buy some lucky charms for me, ok?). Peace . . .

Natalie Hatch - 3/28/2008 (2:17:43 PM)
Hey everyone!! To answer Michelle's question, I'm going to Utah State. I was up there yesterday to interview for a research scholarship. I'll know in two weeks whether or not I got it. I hope you all have a fantabulous day!!

Michelle - 3/28/2008 (10:28:45 PM)
Hey guys! No, Mike, taking state in any class is pretty awesome! At least you're not 4A. Congratulations to Chelsea! Nick, I really think you'll make it no worries, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!! :) Good job Natalie!! Seriously that's amazing. Just think though, we won't have any more "stuck in the snow" memories! :( But you'll be sure to make plenty more. Goodnight everyone! Muah!

Natalie Hatch - 3/30/2008 (5:53:40 PM)
Oh no! We missed a day! Will the world end or what? ;P I hope everyone has an amazing week, and that you are very clever on April Fool's Day. "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt" ~Mark Twain

George - 4/1/2008 (2:00:57 PM)
Hope everyone had a great April Fools' Day!

Angie Edwards - 4/4/2008 (8:54:15 AM)
Hey eveyone! Where did you all go. No one's been on here for a few days...but then again I haven't been on here for awhile. Well I turn 18 in three days! I don't know if I'm excited or not yet. It's kinda weird turning 18. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by it seems like yesterday that I was up in Cedar with all of you. Funny thing is that I was up in Cedar yesterday for a softball game...it was FREEZING!!! I guess it was a nice day for them but I'm not used to the cold yet haha This is me just rambling so I guess I'll go. Hope you all have a great day! Nick, I saw you at state FBLA, but I had to go present so I couldn't say hi....so I am saying hi now. :) I don't like long postings, but this is my small contribution...see ya'll later.

Mike Munson - 4/8/2008 (7:31:09 PM)
Happy Birthday Angie!!! yesterday...sorry I haven't been on for a while or I would have got it on the right day =)

Natalie Hatch - 4/10/2008 (10:29:48 PM)
Boy are we slacking. AP classes are rough--I know. I had an interview for an alumni scholarship (thanks to my grandparents) and I found out I got the other one I inerviewed for a couple weeks ago. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, even if it is tough or full of homework.

NAtalie Hat\ - 4/10/2008 (10:30:08 PM)

Michelle - 4/12/2008 (10:06:49 AM)
Happy late late birthday Angie! Sorry guys I was all for the 'get on every day' thing but I'm the worst at doing so...oops! So I officially have a schedule for college next year!! Ahh it's so crazy to think that my next year is already planned out for me....oh boy. But today is finally into the 60s I do believe so I'm gonna head outside and enjoy it before the next snow storm arrives! Love ya all! Hey guys glad everyone is doing well. I can't wait to graduate on May 23. So is anyone else planning to go to SUU besides me.

Michelle - 4/22/2008 (3:15:54 PM)
Hey guys! Thought I'd check in. I totally just graduated from Utah State University on Saturday, April 19th with my Associates of Science degree! I can't believe I've actually done it - sorry I know it sounds like I'm bragging but I pretty much am so excited. I'm also way excited, I just found out that I will be able to go to Sydney & Cairns, Australia this summer so I hope you all are doing something fun this summer for your senior trips or whatnot. Hey hey Bradley nice to hear from you. Same with you Pete, and yes I'm goin to SUU I actually have my entire schedule and I'm registered for orientation on the 19th of August so if any of you are registered the same day let me know - Chesha and I are so! Love you all mucho! "He is rich that is satisfied." - Thomas Fuller.

George - 4/23/2008 (8:43:43 PM)
Tomorrow is liberation day: last final for college classes!

Natalie Hatch - 4/25/2008 (5:00:02 PM)
Lucky! I realized today I only have three more classes until my first AP test, and I'm slightly freaking out. congrats on the Graduation Michelle!! (one more to go before you're an offical college student)What plans does every one else have for a senior trip? So far I've got nothing. Hope you have a fantabulous weekend!!

cameron - 4/25/2008 (7:03:24 PM)
hey Pete I am planing to go to SUU

Nick - 4/27/2008 (7:05:58 PM)
Wow I'm back from the dead just like Bradley G., but nobody is making a movie of me . . . yet (that was pretty funny Brad!) Hey all good luck with everything, IB is crazy, I'm ranting and raving, life is weird, there's sunshine and then snow and then sunshine again, I wish school was done, senioritis is at critical, and I'm starting to go slightly mental if you haven't noticed. Never read Crime & Punishment it might save your life. jk. It just feels good to vent. :-)

Michelle - 4/29/2008 (9:07:38 AM)
Thanks Natalie! I know it's slightly terrifying to know that we're this close to the end...da-da-da (ok so it doesn't sound the same and I hope you all get my meaning). Welcome back Nick. I get ya, the whole senioritis thing sucks. Our last day of school is the 22nd of May and I don't know how I'm gonna make it without getting NGs. For those of you who don't know, NGs are No Grades and you get them if you miss a class more than four times, even if it's excused. I think I am ok but I'm not sure....I have two senior trips. My first one is with my friend and her family, we're going on a cruise in the Western Caribbean. I'm uber excited cuz I've never been the the east coast let alone out of the country (besides Mexico). My second trip is to Australia for three weeks in July. Anyone else have trips planned? Oh and for all you girls (and guys you'd better listen as well) here's the best quote ever! "Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels." - Faith Wittlesey

Angie Edwards - 5/12/2008 (9:27:50 AM)
Howdy everyone!!! Wow it looks like no one's been on here for awile...including me so I guess I can't really complain :) Um so yeah I only have four more days of school!!! YEAH! PARTY! Today is my last Monday ever as a high schooler. Ha ha Oh and Pete I am also going to SUU. "Some say the glass is half empty, some say the glass is half full, I say, are you going to drink that?"

Nick Bradford - 5/19/2008 (2:47:16 AM)
Hey good one Angie! I saw Half Empty/Half Full Witticism in Crankshaft the other day. "You can view the glass as half-empty or half full" "Or smashed against the wall into a million tiny little pieces." Yeah it's awful lonely on here. Ah well time's change--we're seniors. I officially snapped on my Senior Project (do you guys have those)--most annoying thing ever in existence. Oh well--I need a whole summer of healing and probably another GHA. Good luck all with graduation.

George - 5/19/2008 (8:10:54 AM)
Here's a half empty thing: "Optimists look at the glass as half full. Pessimists look at the glass as half empty. Engineers look at the cup as twice as big as it needs to be." This week is the last week that I'm in school! We don't Senior Projects, so I don't know how you feel, Nick.

Natalie Hatch - 5/20/2008 (10:09:18 PM)
I agree with Angie. In this heat I say it's half evaporated. :p Our Senior Project is a Portfolio, but we weren't sure if we had to do them until the last week in april, so we have all been scrambling. the sad thing is there are tons of teachers that don't even care so, when coupled with apathetic seniors definately doesn't equal sucess. Oh well. eight more days and then a blissful summer. Ahh how hope can make the wait worth it.

Michelle - 5/26/2008 (9:06:47 PM)
Hey guys, I don't have anything about the glass being half empty/full....sorry! Omg I am outta school we were out on the 22nd but we don't graduate till the 28th and nobody else (the freshmen, sophomores, & juniors) don't end school till the 29th. It's kinda nice having a break before graduation. And we don't have senior projects either so sorry I can't relate! "Dancing is like life: It's good to have a plan but be prepared to improvise." - Annonymous

Natalie Hatch - 5/29/2008 (10:34:53 AM)
HAPPY GRADUATION TO ALL!!!

Michelle - 6/1/2008 (3:47:39 PM)
Wow. So it really hasn't hit me yet that I've graduated. I think it will when we actually have to move out but until then there's the entire summer! What's everyone's summer plans?

Nick - 6/1/2008 (5:10:07 PM)
HAPPY GRADUATION!!!

George - 6/7/2008 (11:12:07 AM)
Happy graduation to everyone! Disneyland rocks!

Natalie Hatch - 6/8/2008 (7:22:52 PM)
Do you remember when, if you didn't sign on for a week, you'd miss SOOO much? do you also realize that it is coming up on one year since our GHA experience? I know, it's crazy! "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

George - 6/17/2008 (1:21:39 PM)
Wow, I got on the website to get to the message board and they have the new GHA stuff up! It's weird to think that a year ago we were just getting ready to go to GHA.

Natalie Hatch - 6/18/2008 (3:27:41 PM)
The new GHA started today. It is weird to think that last year, at this time, we didn't even know each other!

Jared Wilcken - 6/27/2008 (3:02:07 PM)
Hello all you GHAers. You are all driving home and I wanted to start the board with a quick THANK YOU for all you brought to GHA. You are all amazing and I'm very grateful to have spent the last 10 days with you all. If you ever need anything, never hesitate to let me know! See you at the GHA reunion - November 7-8th!! -Jared

Natalie Hatch - 7/24/2008 (8:35:45 AM)
Happy Pioneer day!!!

Brantz Woolsey - 7/27/2008 (10:46:10 PM)
Hey, I just wanted to drop a message to those who went before me to GHA. It was the best thing to ever happen. I loved it. I hope that people from my GHA go on at least once a month like you guys do. Hope you guys enjoy growing up and if you have any tips just post them on your board.

Natalie Hatch - 8/5/2008 (3:59:18 PM)
Possible Conversaition Starter: Breaking DawnI thought it was good, but slightly predictable. Maybe I read too many discussion boards, and Stephanie Meyer has too many perceptive fans. I hope you are all getting ready for college well!!! GHA rocks!

Angie Edwards - 8/13/2008 (10:04:58 AM)
Wow! It looks like this thing is dying or something. Natalie I congratulate you! Way to keep this thing going. Sorry I haven't read Breaking Dawn so I don't know what to tell you. I actually haven't read the series. Haha. I can't believe how fast this summer went by, but I'm pretty excited for college to finally start. I hope to see many of you! We should all get together or something again! I miss GHA!

Natalie Hatch - 8/19/2008 (10:35:00 AM)
Thanks Angie. I'm trying to keep this thing going because I made a bet with a 2006 GHAer that we could keep our message board operational longer than they could. New converasion starter: What are you working on right now? School, work, mission, marriage, soulfinding vacation to Zimbabwe to understand the meaning of life and contract a rare disease, then find the cure. What ever just post it.

- 8/26/2008 (8:37:58 AM)
Congrats to Brianne!

Michelle - 9/1/2008 (12:59:57 PM)
Hey guys! SOOO just to fill you all in on what's been happening in the small world of Michelle: I went to the Western Carribean this summer and loved it! Came home super tan (even with like 60 SPF on 24/7). I was home for a week and a half and then went to Australia for three weeks as part of a church thing - LOVED IT! CANNOT TELL YOU ENOUGH ABOUT IT! Ahhhh. If you really want to know ask and I'll see what I can do. Now I'm down in Cedar going to college at SUU! Loving every minute of it. I've seen as thus far - Pete, Aleigh, Heather S., Clark, Kalli, Skye, Chesha, Audrey, Jed, Tarl, Scott, Dani, Jordann, Seth, Cameron, Julie, Kendra, Liz, David, Jon, Cody, Brianna, Casey, and I'm sure more who I can't think of at the moment. I hope everyone's school years or whatever are off to a wonderful start. And yes Natalie, I read Breaking Dawn and loved it - I didn't think it was too predictable but still...I loved it!

Brianne - 9/5/2008 (5:07:08 PM)
Hey guys, I'm down at SUU! Yeah! Come visit me some time =). I'm not sure why someone said congrats to me, but for those who don't know I am engaged. Sorry I havent kept up on the board. I'll try and be better. Love you all

Natalie Hatch - 9/6/2008 (6:46:01 PM)
Thanks for posting. I know I love hearing what everyone is up to. I'm at Utah State. I recently started a research project with one of the professors on campus. I am majoring in English and can't wait for the snow!Michelle, next time you go galavanting across the globe, please pack me in your suitcase!! It sounds like you had a blast. Congratulations on the engagement Brianne! Let me know when the reception is! "Life is a mystery. We don't know what the answers will be." ~May Swenson
