Membership in the Presidential Ambassador organization is highly selective. New members are chosen each year from the incoming freshman class and transferring junior college students. Those students that stand out in their leadership, interpersonal skills, and personality are chosen to become Ambassadors.

Students currently attending SUU may apply to join Ambassadors by picking up an application in the Admissions Welcome Center. Applications will be reviewed and finalist selected. Finalists will participate in an evening of interviews which will determine whom is selected to join the Presidential Ambassadors.

Heather Poppleton

Heather Poppleton Task Force Coordinator
(3rd Year Ambassador)

I come from the great land of Cache, that just so happens to be a valley (cache valley) I lived their until the junior year of High School, where I moved to Ogden, graduating from Ben Lomond High, and I loved it all. My current area of study is, Education and am very excited to teach one day. I love cooking, doing just about anything outside, and anything that can be considered a craft. I try to love every minute of life, and am excited for the next day's adventures!

Jamie Beal

Jamie Beal VP of Campus Events
(3rd Year Ambassador)

A smile is one of the first things you'll see from this gals face. Jamie was born and raised in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High. Jamie is studying Exercise Science with a possible double major in Nutrition. Jamie loves getting out of her seat to bust a move and is always anxious to get outside. If she could live off of sunshine, lush green grass, and Lake Powell she would. Some of Jamie's ambitions are to compete in a triathlon and hopefully someday an ironman. If you think Jamie is just an outdoor junky, you're wrong. Jamie loves to sing and just jam out to music. In fact one of her favorite past times is harmonizing to hit songs on the radio.

Sydney Landeen

Sydney Landeen Event Coordinator
(2nd Year Ambassador)

Sydnie Landeen comes from American Fork, Utah. She attended AFHS and is proud to be a Cave(wo)man! Sydnie enjoys going with the flow and letting the colors of the wind guide her in whichever direction they may take her. She is currently waiting for them to guide her to which major she should declare. In other words she is taking suggestions because she is still, as they call it, "open optioned." A few of her favorite things include, bird watching, learning to play the harmonica, the color turquoise, puddle jumping, cruising on her bike, footsie pajamas, fanny packs, laughing until she can't breathe, and participating in wholesome activities with the people she loves. Although at five feet and three quarters of an inch she may seem intimidating, you should probably get to know her because she is likely to love you with every fiber of her being.
