Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling

                 2007-08 Aid Year

In order to receive a Federal Stafford Student Loan, Federal law requires us to give you certain basic information. This self-paced tutorial is designed to give you the information you need to make informed decisions about student borrowing.

Once you have successfully completed this program, you will be asked to answer some questions about what you have read. When you have successfully completed this test, you will be able to print a borrower certification form to sign. NOTE: When the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships has received your completed and signed borrower certification form, your Federal Stafford Loan will be certified and sent for processing.

If this is your first Stafford Loan you will need to sign your Master Promissory Note. This will be valid for 10 years provided all other eligibility requirements are met. However, annual loan amounts and borrower limits are still in force.

When you turn in your borrower certification form to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships you may request other materials on loans and managing your finances. If you have any questions about this program or about your particular situation, make an appointment with your Financial Aid Counselor, or call the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at 586-7735.

***This process requires Microsoft Internet Explorer to work properly.  You will not be able to complete the Loan Entrance Counseling using Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari.***
