Applying for Financial Aid, 2007-08

Every student who applies for Federal Financial Aid at Southern Utah University will be required to complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    For faster service complete online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using your Dept. of Ed PIN (for info on the PIN, see "Apply for a PIN" on the same web site). Please be sure to add the SUU school code (003678) when submitting your application.
  2. Information Release Authorization

To expedite your financial aid award, SUU encourages you to select the link below for the appropriate verification worksheet (highlighted in red). Complete both sides of the worksheet and print it. Sign the worksheet. (Provide a signed copy of your and your parents or spouses 2006 Federal Tax form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ or Telefile).

If you had to use your parents income information on your FAFSA then you will need to complete the dependent verification worksheet. Otherwise, complete the independent verification worksheet. To complete either of these documents online follow the link below.

  1. DEPENDENT STUDENT Verification Worksheet
    Please include:
    • Copy of signed Dependent Student Verification Worksheet
    • Copy of signed student’s 2006 federal income tax return
    • Copy of signed parent’s 2006 federal income tax return
  2. INDEPENDENT STUDENT Verification Worksheet.
    Please include:
    • Copy of signed Independent Student Verification Worksheet
    • Copy of signed student’s 2006 federal income tax return
    • Copy of signed spouse’s 2006 federal income tax return
