About University Housing

Overview

University Housing at Southern Utah University is an auxillary department within the Division of Student Services, which is led by Vice President for Student Services, Donna Eddleman, and Associate Vice President for Student Services and Dean of Students, Dale Orton. Student Services is a group of key campus offices, including SUU Police, Chartwells Dining, Student Involvement & Leadership and others charged with supporting and challenging each student at Southern Utah University with co-curricular activities and leadership opportunities that enhance the academic experience.

Currently, five different complexes are maintained by University Housing, namely Cedar Hall, Eccles Living Learning Center, Ponderosa Terrace, College View and Hillside. In addition, University Housing oversees the operations of its subunit, Guest Services, which coordinates the visits of guests staying for extended periods during the summer season as well as other units including University Housing Maintenance and University Housing Custodial.

Mission

The mission of University Housing at Southern Utah University Housing is to provide the highest quality living conditions which are safe, clean, and comfortable as well as a learning environment that promotes maturity, supports academic success and enhances personal growth.

  • 33 common recreational, leisure and study rooms speckle the halls
  • The Residence Halls accommodate more than 900 students each year.
