Welcome to Southern Utah University Loan Counseling For Federal Perkins Loan!

In order to receive a Federal Perkins loan, federal law requires us to give you certain basic information. This self-paced tutorial is designed to give you the information you need to make informed decisions about student borrowing. 

Once you have successfully completed this program, you will be asked to answer some questions about what you have read. If you pass this test, you will be able to print out a counseling form for you to sign. After you sign the paperwork for your loan it will typically take one day for a check to print, if you have no other holds. In any case, loan money cannot be disbursed earlier than the first day of classes. 

When you turn in your loan counseling form to the Loan Collection Office, you can sign your promissory note and other required paperwork in order to receive your Federal Perkins Loan.
