Graduation Fair - Thursday, May 2, 2013 & Friday, May 3, 2013

SUU Alumni House (300 West University Blvd.)

Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.

All graduates are to pick up their caps and gowns at the SUU Grad Fair. While there, enjoy one last opportunity to visit with friends and professors before leaving SUU. Refreshments will be provided, along with important information about graduation.

University Commencement Celebration - Friday, May 3, 2013

11:00 a.m. • Graduate Processional Line-Up • Upper Quad

All SUU graduates, dressed in cap and gown, should meet on the Upper Quad to participate in the formal commencement processional that will march across campus and into the University-wide ceremony. Visit the Graduates Page for line up locations.

Noon • University Commencement Ceremony • Centrum Arena (109 South 800 West)

The main Commencement Ceremony is a formal celebration for all SUU graduates, guests, faculty and staff. This ceremony features SUU’s keynote commencement speaker, awarding of 2013 honorary doctorate degrees, an address from SUU President Michael T. Benson, formal moving of the tassel, an address from the student speaker for the Class of 2013 and special recognition of select students, faculty and staff.

  • Graduates should march into the ceremony in cap and gown as part of the formal processional across campus.
    • All associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates are expected to attend unless excused by the Regisrar’s Office (435.586.7715; johnson_s@suu.edu)

All graduates and their guests are invited to join SUU’s faculty and staff in celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2013 at an informal gathering immediately following the main Commencement ceremony. Live entertainment and refreshments for all.
