All veterans receiving the GI Bill Chapter 30, 1606 and 1607 need to call the VA each month and verify that they are attending school. This should be done no sooner than the last day of each month of attendance. Call 1-877-823-2378 or verify online at W.A.V.E.
GI Bill Chapters 35, 31, and 33 (Post-9/11) do not need to verify enrollment monthly.
To receive VA payments by Direct Deposit or to change Direct Deposit information call 1-877-838-2778. (Direct Deposit not yet available for Ch. 35)

- First-time applicants must fill out a VA Form 1990 (5490 for Ch 35).
- Veterans or Veterans' Dependents or Veterans' Transferees Information Sheet and Statement of Understanding Form (available in office)
- SUU Veterans Certification Form:
Must be filled out every semester to receive benefits - To change your major or degree program, fill out a VA Form 1995 (5495 for Ch 35) and an SUU Program of Study Change Form.
