Space Rental Payment

To simplify charges made to groups not affiliated with SUU and to implement the policy of the Board of Regents, a fair rate per day per space be assessed for use of state buildings. Groups may enter into contracted agreements with the University for negotiated rates for conferences and conventions.

Full payment for the use of the conference rooms in the Sharwan Smith Center is required in advance of the actual event date.

A deposit is required to hold a reservation for the Ballroom. The deposit includes half the price of the full event. (Room rent, tables, equipment, etc. This does not include Food Service fees.) . The deposit may be refunded for cancellations made with advance notice.

Room Capacities

The following is an outline of room capacity levels. Capacity levels will vary, dependent on the variety of items requested for setup of the room. (Example: The Ballroom requires a stage area of 16' x 24'. Room capacity will be diminished considerably for a banquet, or theater style seating.)
