Orientation Leaders (or O-Leaders for short) are wonderful student leaders who are available at each orientation to assist new SUU students in making connections at Orientation. In fact, they are available all year long to help students in any way they can!

Brittney Twitchell
Hi! My name is Brittney Twitchell, I am from Monroe Utah and I have been going to SUU for two years now. I like playing sports and being with friends. I have had so many great opportunities here at SUU and met so many great people. I am excited to meet and get to know you at orientation this year and get you excited to come to SUU!!!!

Timian Yoshimoto
Hey my name is Timian Yoshimoto and I am a sophomore nursing major from American Fork, Utah (GO CAVEMEN!) SUU is my pride and joy... I LOVE IT!!! This school has shown me the way to becoming the best person I could ever possibly be and also how to be successful in life. There is always something fun going on and the environment in unbeatable! My favorite activities are all the outdoor ones and the intramural sports...especially volleyball!! Get involved and it's a guaranteed ticket to the ride of your life!!

Camie Wright
Hi hi! My name is Camie. I grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado. I'm a Math Education Major with hopes to be a teacher, and possibly become a professor and all that fun jazz. I am an outgoing person with a lot of love for life! I like to have fun— sometimes too much fun? Nah, that's not possible! I really enjoy sports! I dig watching baseball and basketball, especially when it comes to watching my Lakers. Yeah yeah—I know, make fun all you want, but I don't care [Editor’s Note: GO JAZZ!!!!]. I also enjoy music. Singing is my passion and piano is my sanctuary. I'm slowly learning the guitar, emphasis on the slowly part. But it's coming! Most of all I really enjoy meeting people!! I love everything about SUU—it's the happiest and best place on earth, next to Disneyland that is!!! I strive to be the best I can everyday—not much more I can do, right? Kimberly Massengale
Ay Bay Bay! My name is Kimberly Massengale. I'm a sophomore here at fantabulous SUU. To be quite honest with all you wonderful readers, I don't know what I want to be when I grow up (Undeclared Major). However, I do know that I love making wishes on shooting stars, coloring in coloring books, dipping grilled cheeze sandwiches in tomato soup, going to Wal-Mart at crazy-random hours of the night, chilling with friends, rainbows, and thunderstorms. I absolutely despise bugs - of any kind. Some of my life goals include going to Disneyland and eating lunch with the Disney Princesses, visiting a good large chunk of Europe, and learning how to surf. Never have I gone snowboarding or watched Princess Bride. Anywho, I'm super outgoing, I love going to Bread & Soup Nite at SUU, and I love to play... Summer Evans
HI! My name is Summer Evans. I was born and raised in Blacksburg, Virginia. I moved to Cedar City to further my studies in Hotel Resort and Hospitality Management. I am an avid sports fan (mostly football and basketball). GO T-BIRDS! I also enjoy anything that has to do with being in or around the water, shopping, movies, and friends. I am an active member in the Alpha Phi sorority here on campus and love every minute of it. I love it here at SUU and I am positive that you will love it too. Chelsea Campbell
Hey you! Yeah, you— who do you think I'm talking to? Hi, my name is Chelsea. I'm a senior here at our beloved SUU. My major is now English (writing emphasis), although I used to be a nursing major and a theatre major (theatre is now my minor). I realized it was my best bet to follow what my gut said to study or I'd be unhappy in three years, and it's the right decision for me. As far as other school stuff goes, I work at the Writing Center on campus, so if you need help with your English papers I can hook you up. I also attended Portland State University for a bit—it turned me into a sort of a hippie. I love tea and recycling—what can I say? As far as "get to know you" jazz goes, I worked at a girls' camp in Pennsylvania last summer, I love playing The Sims (don't judge until you've played), I have an affinity for non-normative colored shoes and semi-colons, and my first daughter will be named Emaline (after the Ben Folds song, of course). I've been dating a wonderful man named Joe for over two years now, and this summer he's FINALLY moving back to Cedar City; I am thrilled. Welcome to SUU!

Shalie Christensen
It all started a long long time ago in a land far far away... Ok cut the crap and lets get to the important stuff. My name is Shalie Christensen. I am from South Jordan Utah. I am majoring in Outdoor Recreation Parks and Tourism with a minor in Psychology. I really like Mike & Ikes and Talons:). SUU is great and I love it! The university, education, learning environment, people, teachers, location, and yes even most of my classes. SUU is awesome! and I am here to show you that!! Pat Palmer
Hi, I’m Pat Palmer! I grew up in Texas (around Tyler but I was born in Houston) but my family moved to Cedar City my Junior Year of High School. So now I’m from Cedar City too. I’m a “non-traditional student” meaning this is my second time around at college. I love it here at SUU; I think we have a wonderful campus and great programs. I’m an Elementary Education Major, and I have one more year of college before I do my block and clinical teaching. I love lots of different types of music, I like crafty stuff, and I can make balloon animals! I look forward to seeing you at orientation!

Hi I'm a Senior doing a composite major in Advertising/Communication Studies. I am from Kanab (if you don't know where that is it's okay most don't.) I like to hang out with friends and family, play sports and be outdoors. I like Mexican food and Chinese food as well as good ole' pizza. My pet, he is a fish named Ricco and we get along quite well! Fran Corrao
Hey Hey future T-Birds!! My name is Francine Corrao but most people call me Fran I was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. My parents moved to good ol’ Monticello, Utah when I was 14. I graduated from Monticello High and started my wonderful college years here at SUU and I have loved every minute of it! I am senior communications major with an emphasis in public relations and communication studies. After graduation I am not sure where I am going or what I am doing, I guess it just depends on where the wind blows me. People say there is nothing to do here in Cedar but all you have to do to make the fun is be creative! I love the color pink, cooking, laughing, singing in the shower, sliding across wood floors in my socks and playing in water and the Simpsons! Stacy Earl
I am Stacy Earl! Basically I love anything with water! I love to scuba dive, wakeboard, tube, ski, swim, water raft, and probably other stuff I've never tried but I'm sure I'd love. I also love anything musical. I love to sing and play piano more than anything. I love going to Broadway shows and plays, and I love to travel. I have been many places, but my favorite was Bermuda. I love food! However I have a gluten intolerance and try not to eat things with wheat. Yes, I know it sounds crazy. I love to meet new people, I am very organized, and I am a Nutrition major. I am also minoring in Outdoor Rec & Tourism which will be wicked awesome! But, that's basically me in a nutshell! :)

CJ Armstrong
Holla Holla!!! My name is CJ Armstrong and I am from the small but thriving city of Payson, UT, I am a senior here at SUU which means I have been here four years... DANG I am getting old!! :) I am majoring in Hotel Management and minoring in Psychology.. I have been involved in many different things anything from student government to being a custodian on campus. You gotta love those vac packs!! I love to be around people and hear about their lives. I have just found a new passion for One Tree Hill and I am branching out by learning how to swim. I love reading, sleeping, watching movies and playing games. I also love to play with my friends! Hey! I'm Danielle. I'm a Sociology/ Criminal Justice major from Las Vegas, NV. I'm about to begin my second year here and I'm loving every minute of college! On campus I'm involved with the local sorority, Delta Psi Omega, the alcohol and drug awareness program, R.E.A.L. Peers, and the assembly in student government. Being involved has given me the opportunity to get to know so many different people and I strongly suggest getting involved when you get here! Hello everyone! My name is Stacie Wright and I am a sophomore here at Southern Utah University. This is the best school anyone could ever want to go to so I am stoked that you chose to come here! Boy oh Boy you’re going to love SUU! This is defiantly the place to be! My name is Anelise Davenport and I have always loved nature and anything to do with the outdoors and if you love it you are in the right place. My dream is to travel around the world and take pictures of what the world has to offer and to share that with others through magazines and photography. Being outside and being with people is my favorite hobby, although I’m crazy over sports too. I’m always ready for something new, I love to work with people and am always ready to have fun! I am a Psychology major and a Music minor just entering my senior year. I am a convert to Southern Utah and am loving it. I have lived here just over a year and transferred to SUU. I am originally from Oregon and later went to college in California. When I am not studying I like to swim, fish, scrapbook, and paint murals, and I love stormy days. I also do volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Things I don't like...being carsick, missing class, and when too much mud gets in my shoes and I swissssh everywhere (although the sound really does make it better). Stevie Smart
Hello! My name is Stevie Smart, and I'm a senior Graphic Design major. I'm originally from Spanish Fork, UT, up in the Provo area. I enjoy drawing, painting, sleeping, watching the Office, hiking, reading, watching Enchanted, hanging out with friends, eating French toast, and dancing (I said that I enjoy it, not that I'm good at it) and I think my favorite CD is Weezer's blue cd. I love Italian food, and I'm planning on sampling the authentic stuff in May (as in I'm actually going to Italy, how sweet is that!). I love SUU! It is awesome! Ashley Sotelo
Why is Ashley shrugging? Probably because she hasn't sent in her bio yet and this is her SECOND year as an orientation leader! :-) Good thing Ashley rocks or she might have somebody make up a bio about her!

Mark Bahr
My name is Mark Bahr. I am from Payson, Utah. My interests include family, friends, Spanish, hiking, running, music and cooking. To help explain a little more about myself, I'll tell you how I spent the holidays. I spent my holidays with my parents and family in Haughton, Louisiana. Some highlights of the holidays were; caroling with the family on Christmas Eve, eating a wonderful Christmas dinner with the family, playing basketball with my little brother and the LDS missionaries, taking my little sister to the park, and visiting my older brother and his wife who live in Dallas, TX. I'm a Spanish major at SUU and I want to become a Spanish interpreter and translator.

Students must study and complete a six months long training before they are able to sign their contracts and serve as O-Leaders! Although I'm not sure where they were trained to do this!

O-Leaders must have super-human strength!!

Orientation Leaders must hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil... um... yeck.
