What is University Orientation (UNIV 1010)?

University Orientation (UNIV 1010) is a required course for students starting at SUU with less than 24 credits earned after graduating high school. It is designed to ease your transition to university life. You must be fully admitted to SUU before enrolling for University Orientation, including having paid your enrollment deposit.

Sign Up for Orientation and Access the Pre-Advising Program

    • June: 16, 18, 19, 20
    • June 17 (For Leadership Weekend participants)
    • July:  14, 15, 16, 17, 18
    • August:  15
    • August 18 & 19 (For students who live more than 300 Miles from Campus)
  • Welcome Week 2008 (New students are required to attend Welcome Week, returning students are invited to attend).
    • August 20-23

What will I do at University Orientation?

You will receive academic advisement, plan your course schedule, register or review your classes with an advisor, learn what you need to know to begin study at SUU, experience the campus environment, learn about resources available to you, meet other students, have fun, and make many new friends.
