Student Accident and Illness Insurance

New Way to Pay for the Student Accident and Illness Insurance – You can now pay online with a credit card or mail a check directly to the company. Do not pay at the cashiers’ office.

Medical Insurance is not required to attend SUU. However SUU Student Health Services encourages all students to have medical insurance to protect you from costly medical expenses.

If a student is not covered by insurance, an accident and illness policy for students who carry six or more credit hours is available from Student Assurance Services. It may be purchased directly from the company either by sending a check or credit card information to the company, or online with a credit card.  This insurance plan is especially designed for student protection against costly medical expenses for injury or illness.

• Locate Southern Utah University
• Select "purchase online" located under #3 - Southern Utah University Insurance Information.

Brochures regarding the terms, deductible, and costs of insurance for students and dependents of students may be downloaded here or be obtained by calling 435-586-7718, or coming to the Wellness Center, room ST 168, Sharwan Smith Center.

Students are encouraged to compare this policy with other policies available to the public and to pick the policy that best suits their needs.

If the student is covered by the parent’s policy, they should have a copy of the insurance card or insurance information with them.
