Wellness Center

Emergency Preparedness for SUU Students & Employees

The Wellness Center would like to encourage the campus community to be prepared for unforeseen emergencies, by following these simple steps:

1. Have a disaster supplies kit. These kits should include enough of the following for three days:

    • Water
    • Food
    • First Aid Supplies
    • Clothing and Bedding
    • Tools and Emergency Supplies
    • Special Items for Medical Conditions

Additional information about disaster supply kits can be found on the American Red Cross website.

2. Have an Emergency Contact Card - which includes local and long distance for personal and family contact information.

You can find an emergency contact card to download on the American Red Cross website.

3. If you live out of the area, discuss different ways that you may be able to return home in the event of an emergency.

4. Keep a copy of your health insurance card and a copy of your immunization record with you.
