• AASHE - SUU has joined the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.  This new opportunity will provide a valuable resource, not only to the campus, but everyone in the campus community as well.  Please see the attached memo

• Dell Computer's Plant-a-Tree Program - to help counter the greenhouse gas emissions from their computers, Dell is planting a tree! Next time you need a new computer, tell your IT person to add this option to the quote - it's only $4.00

• DID YOU KNOW!! In just the past four and a half months (since February 1), SUU has recycled nearly 17 tons of paper! That's 17 tons of materials that will be reused and kept from being placed in to the Landfill. Way to go!

EVERYONE CAN FIND SOMETHING THEY CAN DO

• Fix leaky Faucets - 30 drops a minute equates to 50 gallons of water a month
• Turn Off Computers overnight
• Wanna know more about the "Triple Bottom Line"?
• Don't throw them away; Recycle your Batteries!
• Use CFL Light bulbs at home - they use 75% less energy and last up to 10 times longer
• Don't let vehicles idle for more than a minute - TURN THEM OFF!
• Carpool when Possible
• Convince one a friend a month on the importance of Recycling
