Caught Green Handed Winners

Each week during the 10 week RecycleMania contest, someone will be caught green handed and awarded a prize. Prizes range from $10 gift certificates from the bookstore to 5 Buck Pizza gift certificates.

• Week 1 January 23 Sigma Chi - they obtained additional bins to keep at the Greek House to recycle not only at school but at home as well.
• Week 2 January 30th Professor Cheryl Whitelaw - she keeps a container outside her door to collect pop cans. Now the Science building has a bin to collect plastic and another bin to collect pop cans.
• Week 3 February 6th SUU Facilities - Thanks to the economic cutbacks they have to do more with less. Facilities asked for recycle bins for their buildings in order to be able to have more locations for students to recycle. Facilities have been instrumental in removing all the recycled materials from each campus on building so that they can be transported to Pure Recycling in Town.
• Week 4 February 13th Bekah Taylor, member of Earth Club, helped get bins for Residential Housing, is seen in the Women's Week Calendar promoting Recycling, is  putting together an educational training packet for local elementary schools, tells everyone she meets about recycling opportunities on campus, and even made a presentation to Cedar City council about the initiatives that SUU is taking hoping the community would follow SUU's great example.
• Week 5 February 20th Tracee - not only recycles on campus, has gotten her roommates to recycle and also got her employer to start recycling paper for the entire company. Go Tracee!!
• Week 6th Febraury 27th - Who will be the next winner - it could be you!
