Healthy, Hearty Learners

Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student Association that $250.00 be allocated to 29 nursing students, a handful of pre-med students, and a few nutrition students to host a Health Fair on March 13th in the Sharwan Smith Living Room.
Whereas: The students putting this on will benefit by performing actual cholesterol level tests, rapid HIV screenings, eye tests, blood glucose level tests, etc. and;
Whereas: students attending the health fair will be able to be tested for the aforementioned things, and;
Whereas: the students attending the health fair will have the opportunity to listen to a dynamic keynote speaker, Matt Schmidt, about various health benefits, and;
Whereas: students attending the health fair will also have the opportunity to win a one year pass to the local health spa or Wal-Mart gift certificates, and;
Whereas: this is a great opportunity to give back to the students.
Therefore let it be enacted that $250.00 be allocated to the nursing students that are in dire need of this money.
