A Much Needed Fund

Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $686.00 be allocated to a discretionary fund to be used only by the Vice President of Academics, Daniel Strange.
Whereas: Miscellaneous expenses for Senate occur throughout the year;
Whereas: These expenses include, but are not limited to: updating the Senate plaques, copies, and office supplies;
Whereas: there is no current fund from which money is derived to pay for these expenses;
Whereas: a discretionary fund will provide the needed monies;
Whereas: Vice President of Academics Daniel Strange has the sole discretion over the fund;
Whereas: this fund will only be used to provide Senate with needed supplies;
Whereas: Money not used in this fund by April 1st, 2009 will be returned back to the Senate budget.

Therefore let it be enacted that $686.00 be allocated to a discretionary fund to be used only by the Vice President of Academics, Daniel Strange.

Has Daniel been paying for copies, etc, from his own pocket? That doesn't seem very fair. "A Much Needed Bill" indeed.
