Photography Conference in Ouray

Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $770.00 be allocated to the Department of Art and Design Students to attend the SPE Southwest Regional Conference: “Transformation,” in Ouray, Colorado on October 16-19, 2008.
Whereas: This conference will allow photography students to learn from and mingle with professionals in their field, and;
Whereas: Students will have extensive opportunity to photograph local natural surroundings on guided tours, and;
Whereas: Students will attend numerous workshops, including one which will address issues that photographers face in getting their work reviewed once they have graduated, and;
Whereas: This will benefit the entire Art and Design department and in turn SUU by enriching student’s out-of -class experience with professionals and presenting them with future job opportunities.
Therefore let it be enacted that $770.00 be allocated to the Department of Art and Design Students.
