Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $200.00 be allocated to Theora Hansen and Charity Johansen in aid for competition expenses for the Music Teacher’s National Association Solo Competition in Salt Lake City, Ut.
Whereas: Theora and Charity will be representing SUU as music ambassadors at the State level
Whereas: Theora and Charity will be covering most of the expenses themselves, including traveling expenses, accompanist fees, accommodations for food and staying overnight.
Whereas: This competition is a great networking opportunity with many professional musicians, adjudicators, and may aid in future professional endeavors.
Whereas: This is first of many competitions which Theora and Charity hope to participate in
Whereas: If either of them place, they will move to the Regional competition.
Whereas: Participation and/or placing in the competition is a great addition to performance and professional resume.

Therefore let it be enacted that $200.00 be allocated to toTheora Hansen and Charity Johansen in aid for competition expenses for the Music Teacher’s National Association Solo Competition in Salt Lake City, Ut.

Yes, that is true. Theora and Charity have both had deaths in the family this last week. As far as I know, Theora is still planning on attending. I will be amending the bill today to accommodate the change in funds.

This bill is being stricken from the table. Theora is the only one competing in this particular division of the competition. So they are sending her directly to the regional competition.
