Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $50.00 be allocated to the College of Graduate Studies Opening Social
Whereas: Every semester the senators from each college in conjunction with the dean, department chairs, advisors, and faculty need to plan either a Focus Week or Meet The Dean Night, and
Whereas: the graduate senators, with their respective dean have chosen to have an Open House; and
Whereas: this will benefit the needs of all graduate/master students because of the opportunity to meet and discuss issues in a non-formal setting with their college administration, and;
Whereas: graduate/master advisors will be on hand to assist with future class schedules, graduation, and answer questions..Therefore let it be enacted that $50.00 be allocated to the College of Graduate Studies for their Opening Social .

This looks like a great opportunity for our new Graduate Senators as well as the graduate students to get together. It seems there will be a lot of resources at their disposal to assist them as well. I'm for this bill.
Considering the fact that the Graduate school has never had an opportunity to meet together, I am definitely in support of this particular focus event and this bill.
