Ballroom Vegas Showdown

Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $3.000 be allocated to SUU Ballroom Dance Company for the Las Vegas Showdown Competition and Mini-tour.
Whereas: The group of 77 students will be judged by professionals from around the country in the efforts to improve their dancing.
Whereas: competition is a valuable part of the ballroom dance experience, this is a national competition to prepare them for future opportunities.
Whereas: The company has been invited personally by Mikal Watkins, the competition organizer.
Whereas: This competition provides great exposure and recruiting opportunities for the company.
Whereas: They will also be hosting workshops for high schools students, recruiting directly to SUU.
Therefore let it be enacted that $3,000 be allocated to SUU Ballroom Dance Company for the Las Vegas Showdown Competition and Mini-tour.
