Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $200.00 be allocated to the French Department for their first Annual Film Festival.
Whereas: Professor Elise Leahy has reserved the Sharwan Theatre for February 26th and March 5th, and;
Whereas: Professor Leahy has ordered 2 French films that were released in the last year, and;
Whereas: the festival will be free for SUU Students, faculty and staff, as well as the general public, and;
Whereas: they are working on a fundraiser and a grant to the French Government to have an even bigger festival next year, and this year’s festival will show the desire for such a festival and make the grant application stronger, and;
Whereas: these films will interest not only French students, but students of theatre, literature, and film.
Therefore let it be enacted that $200.00 be allocated to the French Department for their first Annual Film Festival.
