Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $157.87 be allocated to the Psychology Department for two graduate students to attend the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Whereas: this is the first time MSFS Psychology emphasis students have asked SUUSA for money, and;
Whereas: this is the opportunity for the graduate students to present the findings from their thesis to the Psychology world, and;
Whereas: the graduate students will be able to network for future jobs, and;
Whereas: giving the opportunity to students to feel engaged and involved in their department, college, and or university will accomplish one of the goals of the 2008-2009 SUUSA Senate and;
Whereas: this could potentially lead to future contacts for graduate school or career opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students from SUU.
Therefore let it be enacted that $157.87 be allocated to the Psychology Department for graduate students to attend the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association conference.
