Be it appropriated by a quorum of the Senate of the Southern Utah University Student
Association that $635.00 be allocated to Women’s Week
Whereas: Every year Southern Utah University hosts Women’s Week on its campus; and;
Whereas: Southern Utah University Women’s Week seeks to enrich and inform students, faculty, and the
community by presenting forums for discussion and presentations about the accomplishments of women past and present, as well as bringing awareness of women’s opportunities and needs as they relate to women in a global society, and;
Whereas: each college (except science) is actively involved in Women’s Week, and;
Whereas: giving the opportunity to students to feel engaged and involved in their department, college, and or university will accomplish one of the goals of the 2008-2009 SUUSA Senate and;
Whereas: this will allow all SUU students (not just the female students) contact with a variety of presenters and opportunities to hear valuable presentations.
Therefore let it be enacted that $635.00 be allocated to Women’s Week.
