Author Topic: Early Morning Walking

So, my wife and I have been walking about 2.5 miles daily at 5:00 AM. We have a route that starts in the south end of town and takes us past the University and one that takes us up Leigh Hill and down Ridge road. If there are other early morning walkers, what routes have you been walking in the south end of town? We could use a diversion, and, of course have to limit our walks to city streets because of the need for pre-daylight safety.

My husband and I have joined the people who use the indoor track in the PE building. The temperature inside is always perfect and it's fun to see friendly faces. It DOES make it a little hectic to get ready and to work on time by 8 am, however, because the building doesn't open until 6 am and we walk for about 40 minutes, more or less.

Dr. Eves and Linda, Are the two different Walking Groups you've posted about still happening? Is there room for more walkers to join you? Any details additional to the ones you've already spoken about? I'm anxious to hear. . .and participate! Thanks!
