Registration
What is an add/drop form and when do I need to use it?
An add/drop form (http://suu.edu/ss/registrar/pdf/RegistrationAddDrop.pdf) allows you to register for or drop a class without using your online account. Generally speaking, you will only need to use an add/drop form in limited circumstances; most classes you will be able to register for online. However, you will need an add/drop form in the following situations:
- You need instructor permission to add a course that is full or has an instructor permission hold on it.
- You need departmental permission to add a course without the prerequisite or corequisite, or a course that has a major or department restriction on it.
- It is past the point in the semester that you can add a course without the instructor’s permission.
- You are changing a course from a credit-bearing class to an audit (or vice versa).
Please make sure to read the instructions on the add/drop form completely to make sure you are filling it out correctly. They are not considered complete when signed; they are complete when turned in to the registrar's office. All add/drop forms must be turned in to the registrar's office before any applicable deadlines.
