SUU Study Abroad Scholarships

SUU offers several study abroad scholarships for students who participate in programs coordinated through the Office of Learning Abroad. Student may apply for scholarships when they complete their study abroad application. Note that scholarship awards are not guaranteed and may fluctuate in value.

Summer study abroad scholarships are typically $500, but could increase or decrease based on funding.

Semester study abroad scholarships are typically $750-$1,000, but could increase or decrease based on funding.

1+1=$2,000 Scholarship

  • Students who study abroad on one of our exchange programs for a semester or year with at least one friend will each receive $1,000.

EDGE Study Abroad Scholarship

  • Students who do their EDGE projects while on one of our study abroad programs will receive up to $500 for summer programs, and up to $750 for semester/year programs.

SUU Exchange Partner Scholarships

SUU will award $1,000 scholarships to qualifying students who study on exchange to one of SUU's partner universities in Spring or Fall 2020 in the following countries:

  • China (Hunan Normal University or Northwest University)
  • Costa Rica (ULACIT)
  • Finland (Oulu University of Applied Sciences)
  • Germany (Hochschule Emden/Leer or Mannheim University)
  • Morocco (EGE Rabat)
  • Netherlands (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences or Fontys University of Applied Sciences)
  • Switzerland (University of Applied Sciences NW Switzerland)

Ernst Mach Research Grant - 1,050 euros/month

Hunan Normal University in Changsha, China

Teaching Practice Program CEALM - 150 euros/month
