Office of Academic Success

Compass Program (formerly College Connections)

Students whose index score falls below the threshold for acceptance into SUU may be offered the opportunity to participate in the Compass program (formerly known as College Connections).

The Compass program provides students with comprehensive academic support and success skills. It guides students with the development of college-level academic success strategies that are necessary to meet expectations and be successful in a higher education setting.

Students are required to enroll in UNIV 1050 (College Student Success) in their term. They must successfully complete the course and achieve a 2.0 GPA by the end of their second term, in order to continue attending SUU in subsequent semesters.
