Ross Murdock works for the Grounds Greenhouse/ Shrubs and Flowers Department here at SUU. He has worked in Facilities Management for nine years managing the greenhouse. He has two children of his own and is a proud grandfather of three. He currently lives in Enoch and happens to own a cat. Ross has lived in three different states including Arizona, Colorado, and Kansas. He has traveled to Montana, Washington, and Oregon. His dream vacation would be for him and his wife to go to Maine. Ross’s favorite vacation was to Glacier National Park, but says he likes all the vacations he has been on.
Ross’s favorite food is bacon pull apart bread. His hobbies are gardening and watching USU women’s basketball which is also his favorite sports team. He received the Outstanding Staff of the year reward last year. Ross would love to go see the Redwoods. An interesting fact about Ross is that it took him seven years to complete school. Another interesting thing you may not know about Ross is that he can play the mountain dulcimer, which looks like a fingerboard.
C. Garrett Jones
Garrett Jones is a biology major studying pre-med here at SUU. He has worked for Facilities Management since November 26 as a Business Operations assistant. He enjoys music, basketball, golf, reading, and video editing. Garrett has been to Mexico, Canada, and every state in the U.S. except Alaska and the Dakotas. Garrett’s favorite vacation was to Disneyworld in Florida with his wife. He hopes to one day travel to New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
Garrett’s favorite food is Mexican food. His favorite sport is basketball and his favorite sports teams are the Utah Jazz and the San Diego Chargers. Garrett received several academic awards throughout high school and competed in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) national competition. He is also involved with the National Society of Leadership and Success. Something interesting about Garrett is that he was born with Marfan Syndrome, which is a disorder that affects connective tissue. Connective tissues are proteins that support skin, bones, blood vessels and other organs. People who are affected by Marfan Syndrome are often tall, and Garrett is very tall!
Cassi is currently a junior at SUU and is studying Psychology. She has worked for Facilities Management for almost a month as a business operations office assistant. She works on timesheets, sprocket, and material audits. At her home in Kanab, Cassi owns a cat, three dogs, and two horses. She is originally from Southern California.
Cassi has traveled to Seattle, Washington, and Arkansas. In the future, she would like to travel to England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and pretty much all over the world! Traveling to Seattle was Cassi’s favorite vacation. She loves it there! Cassi enjoys movies, hiking, reading, and being with friends. She loves Mexican food and her favorite sport is football. The Denver Broncos is her favorite team. A bucket list item of Cassi’s is to travel all over the U.S. and Europe.
