Parents, Families, & Supporters of a Future T-Bird

We know your student is unique, and we want to make sure they receive the attention they deserve. From their financial aid options to a personal peer mentor, they won't be just a number at SUU.

If you have any questions during the college search process or once they are at SUU, please reach out! We share the same interest in helping your child build confidence, learn new things, face challenges, and ultimately find a path they are passionate about.

Student-Centered Academics

SUU provides some of the most unique and immersive educational experiences, putting students first and helping them find their purpose. With over 150 academic degree programs to choose from, students find flexibility and affordability by choosing coursework that is the traditional on-campus instruction, hybrid, or fully-online classes.

A Quality Education at an Affordable Price

Your T-Birds future dreams shouldn’t break the bank, which is why multiple resources exist to help. Get help through the admissions process, finding scholarships and applying for FAFSA through the Financial Aid Office. And once your student enrolls, work with the Financial Wellness Office on navigating financial obstacles, creating a budget and basic money management.

A Home Away from Home

Deciding where to live can be a challenging process, especially for first-year students. SUU has options both on and off campus that are fun, friendly, and within walking distance of SUU. Whatever your T-Bird chooses, encourage them to apply early in the academic year (especially for on-campus options – they fill fast!)

Visiting Campus

Nestled among the red rock mountains of Cedar City, SUU quite literally has the world’s best backyard. While you’re here you can get a feel for the campus culture, see many SUU facilities, meet current students and faculty, and explore our energetic community.

It’s natural to worry about your student’s safety on campus. You can rest assured that SUU makes student safety a top priority. SUU’s dedicated Campus Police work closely with the Cedar City Police, and security officers are available 24 hours a day to respond to student concerns and regularly patrol campus.

From planning campus events to starting their own club, your student can find something they are interested in and become part of T-Bird Nation.
